"A punishment inflicted on the human race by an all-knowing God, who, through not having foreseen the wickedness of men, repented of having made them and drowned them once for all to make them better – an act which, as we all know, was accompanied by the greatest success"
-Voltaire (Philosopher)

In our not-so-distant past it was once believed that religious stories and mythological events were simply stories passed down from generations which contained little truth to them. As time has progressed, we have slowly begun to discover that many of these tales not only hold a grain of truth to them but have now been verified and accepted into the record as historical fact rather than science fiction and tales of folklore.
A pattern emerges if we look back at the timeline in where many of these truths have been covered up or hidden from us, with the knowledge withheld by secret societies and mystery schools throughout the ages. There must be a reason for such secrecy, and as information now travels across the world in a mere matter of seconds, we are slowly unveiling the truth about some of the most critical points relating to human history and our planet and the cosmos.
In a cycle reminiscent of the ouroboros, we have come full circle it seems for just a couple of hundred years ago if you were to say to somebody that we would be able to fly into space using rockets and machines you would be called crazy. Yet the sagas of ancient cultures seem to describe these exact same events taking place at a time where even today many find it hard to believe. It's almost as if at some point in the past we had lost the technology and knowledge and had to relearn it all, creating a gap in our timeline causing a historical and cultural amnesia.
The more seriously we investigate these critical points which have been disregarded and chalked up to being myths, legends, fairytales and folklore stories, the more evidence is revealed and confirmed, and connections are being made to fill in the blanks often using the details found within these same stories. Often this is done using the religious parallels found throughout many ancient cultures, and it truly feels as though we are living in a new age of truth, revelation, and self-discovery.
One of the most consistent parallels found within the texts and communications from our ancestors is the description of cosmic events and our connection with the sky above, as well as stories of cataclysmic events and extreme periods of global geological changes. Perhaps the most common example of this can be found within the countless flood myths by cultures of the past from all corners of the Earth.
Currently, the oldest known flood myth has been traced back to Sumeria and the Eridu Genesis of King Ziusudra, which has been dated to around 2900 BC. The timeline then shows that the Chinese had flood stories related to Gun-Yu, dated to around 2200 BC. The trail then goes back to Mesopotamia with artifacts from the library of Nineveh and portions of the Epic of Gilgamesh, including the Babylonian Atrahasis epic around 1750 BC and the Akkadian stories of Utnapishtim around 1200 BC. A couple hundred years later we find the flood stories of Manu from India dating to around 1000 BC.
We then find the more recent retellings of the flood with the biblical rendition and the story of Noah dating to around 600 BC, and the Greek mythology involving Deucalion, the son of Prometheus dating to around 360 BC. There are also many flood stories from various cultures from around the world in between these dates.
The sheer amount of flood myths and mentions of a deluge event throughout recorded human history cannot simply be ignored and in no way could it be a mere coincidence. In all there are over 250 flood legends described by various cultures and religious texts from around the world, and they all share similarities suggesting they were passed down by previous civilizations which endured for generations. The topic holds such significance that we use the term “antediluvian” to describe it, and we are considered to be currently living in an “antediluvian world” and at times we are even referred to as “antediluvians”.
The chronology of human history as we know it today was developed using a specific year as a division point in the timeline. This starting point is known as “Anno Domini” which is a medieval Latin term meaning “In the Year of Our Lord”. This measurement of history is often abbreviated by using the terms BC and AD and is often associated with the biblical concept of “Before Christ” and “After Death”, or “Anno Domini” in relation it to the life and death of Jesus.
I have often used the terms “antediluvian” or “before catastrophe” and “after deluge” as an alternative definition to describe this division. To separate the historic timeline from its religious roots, we often use the terms C.E. or “common era” and B.C.E. “before the common era” as the general expressions although the dividing line is still present. In ways, it can also symbolize and represent an end to the beginning and a beginning of the end. The age of the deluge reset took place during the constellation of Leo, as the “constellation Lion that measures the deep”.
FLOOD MYTH PARALLELS
In respect to a great number of these ancient civilizations, their cultural history is also similarly separated by a time of great catastrophe, when angry gods from the realm above wreaked havoc upon the Earth to punish mankind for their sins and evil deeds. Often the great sins committed relate to the lustful acts and breeding between the demigods and the daughters of man, leading to a race of imperfect and destructive beings which must be destroyed in order to reset humanity to avoid the destruction of our world. Many legends describe these beings as giants whose evil ways have corrupted humanity.
It has been rightfully questioned why a god would want to destroy his own creation and eliminate the human race from the planet. In the words of the French philosopher Voltaire, “A punishment inflicted on the human race by an all-knowing God, who, through not having foreseen the wickedness of men, repented of having made them and drowned them once for all to make them better – an act which, as we all know, was accompanied by the greatest success”.
In an apparent synopsis synchronicity, most flood mythologies contain many similar key elements while containing some unique details within the narrative. A majority describe a lone survivor or family chosen by the gods or creator who is given advanced warning and specific instructions on how to survive the calamity, often in the form of building a large ship or vessel to house a male and female of every animal species in order to re-seed the Earth after the catastrophe. Usually, this survivor is given only 7 days to construct the ark and collect the animals before it rains for 40 days and 40 nights, flooding the Earth and isolating them on the ship for around a year before the floodwaters recede. Birds are sent out to scout for dry land and when a raven doesn't return, it symbolizes that there is land nearby in which the ship arrives ashore to begin civilization anew following its berth.
Many of these stories involve fish-like gods and aquatic elements, with the survivors coming from the sea in a similar way to our own birth where we are developed in a “body” of water in our mother's womb. We then travel down our mothers “berth canal” to be delivered by the “Doc” or dock, where we get a birth certificate or document of manifestation indicating ownership of property. This process is symbolic of maritime admiralty law and associates with the laws of the sea as opposed to the law of the land. Some children are also baptized in water as a symbolic religious gesture and ritual.
Could all of this just be folklore from different regions in the past or is there evidence to support that there were flood events that did actually occur in our antiquity? If these stories hold truth, then technically, we are all genetically related to a single source, being the survivor chosen by the gods. This concept is investigated in further detail within other chapters of this book. Before we get into the evidence to link these deluge events however, it is important to understand where they come from and take a look at what our ancestors told us in relation to these events. It is also important for us to link the parallels found within these descriptions and root it to an original source.
Ancient Egyptians referred to the advanced civilization that existed before the time of the flood as “Zep Tepi”, which means “the first time” or the “Early Primeval Age of the Gods”. They believed that world was formed by the rising of the first mound known as Benben, and the dawn of civilization emerged from the chaotic waters of “Nu”. The Zep Tepi comes from the extensive Edfu Building Texts found in hieroglyphs on the walls of the Temple of Horus in Edfu, which tells of the time before the flood.
The Sumerians and Egyptians described gods such as the Igigi, who dug the Tigris and Euphrates rivers and the “Homeland of the Primeval Ones”, an island where the houses of the gods once stood that was destroyed by the cataclysm. Knowledge and the secrets of civilization such as building on stone and alchemy were preserved by Enoch, who buried it within the Earth which saved them from the deluge, allowing them to sail the Earth and restart humanity.
The creation story of Pangu in Chinese mythology describes the beginning of the universe as a singularity of formless chaos referred to as “Hundun” or “-”, a single line. When the cosmic egg was split in half, the primordial giant Pangu emerges creating the yin and yang, or the Earth and the Sky referred to as the double line “=”. Upon the death of Pangu, his body parts transformed into the physical world including rivers, rain and weather, mountains, and the sun and the moon. During the reign of Emperor Yao, a catastrophic flood of the Yellow River occurred and the Count of Chong, more commonly referred to as Gun whose name means “big fish”, was appointed by the emperor to control the flood.
Gun spent nine years trying to stop the catastrophe but failed in his attempt and was executed by the new Emperor Shun for his failure. To replace Gun, his son Yu the Great was appointed to replace his father and continue the operation. It could be that this is where the term “son of a Gun” originates from. The flood lasted two generations and occurred during the third millennium BCE, and after alleviating the flood by constructing dams and levees, Shun appointed Yu as Emperor of the region which led to the establishment of the Xia Dynasty, in the modern-day region of Henan. A giant known as Fangfeng assisted Yu to help with the control of the flood but was eventually executed by Yu.
On the other side of the world, the Inca described a flood known as “Unu Pachakuti” which is sometimes translated as meaning “revolution”. This deluge was brought forth by their creator god Viracocha in order to destroy the race of giants that he created during the “Age of Darkness”. These giants were found to be uncontrollable violent beings, and so Viracocha used Lake Titicaca to create a flood to exterminate them from the Earth and turned them to stone. He then created human beings by using smaller stones, however in alternate versions he spares a single man and woman to continue the human race who float to Lake Titicaca in a large wooden box, similar to an ark or vessel.
In pre-Incan mythology the flood is outlined in the first chapter of the Huarochiri Manuscript, when the creator Paryacaca, who was the god of storms, is hatched from an egg along with his brothers upon the mountain summit of Kuntur Quta. After a wealthy man declares himself to be a god, Paryacaca decides to call upon a flood to destroy everyone. After befriending a kind-hearted woman, he warns her that the flood would take place in five days and allows her and her family to escape to high ground in order to survive the deluge. Other variations of this story describe Paryacaca destroying Huaytapallana after he becomes upset over the death of his son.
In Mayan cosmology, the K'iche' creation text known as the Popul Vuh or the “Book of the Community” describes a series of floods which are unleashed as a divine punishment to eliminate the corrupt and imperfect creations of human beings who could not satisfy their gods and creators. Three attempts were made to create humans which could worship them before they became satisfied with what they had created. The first of these variations were the Mud People and the second the Wood People, who became monkeys which led to the formation of the current form. The Popul Vuh also describes the time before humans were created, and a cosmic flood which drained the void resulting in the creation of the Earth. There is also a future flood which is foretold that leads to the end of the world in a Pandora's box scenario, when a dark goddess opens a jar and involves a crocodile from the underworld.
Similarly, the Aztec culture believed that four cycles or worlds existed before the universe as we know it today, described as “suns” in which the entirety of the human population was destroyed by cataclysmic events. The fourth of these suns resulted in a flood which lasted 52 years and is known as the Nahui-Atl, which means “Four-Water”. At the end of the Nahui-Atl, the “Feathered Serpent” god Quetzalcoatl causes a flood which causes humans to turn into fish. In other versions he also resurrects humanity and is referred to as Ehecatl.
What is interesting to point out here is that within these Mesoamerican deluge myths, humans are transformed into the species of animals that we are said to have evolved from according to the theory of evolution. These deluge myths are also fairly recent in comparison to many others that exist on the record, which could mean that these legends may have been inspired by earlier interactions with another foreign culture or explorers from afar. As history has shown, often when cultures are colonized an attempt is made to convert them and erase their history and cultural traditions. This has led to variations and mistranslations of the original sources in some instances.
Similar aspects to the Mesoamerican deluge myths can also be found within older cultures which are oceans apart, such as those found within India and Africa. Many African creation stories involve the creation of mankind with clay or soil. The Yoruba from Africa describe a great flood caused by the goddess of the sea Olokun, which was used to punish the orisha Obatala, who created land and human beings without her permission. As a result of the storm mankind was turned to clay. The Dogon people of West Africa believed that the universe was created from a cosmic egg known as the “Aduno Tal” and civilization was brought to the Earth in an ark by amphibious beings from the star Sirius.
In the Hindu deluge story found within the Shatapatha Brahmana, the surviving progenitor in whom all humans descend from is Maivasvata Manu, who builds an ark under the guidance and instruction of the god Vishnu after he is warned about a flood. Vishnu takes the form of a fish known as Matsya and after growing to an enormous size with a giant horn, helps Manu survive the flood by pulling the ark with his horn. After the flood recedes, the ark ends up on a mountain and a sacrifice is performed by Manu which creates a woman called Ela, who becomes the mother of all mankind. There are many similarities to the biblical book of genesis and the book of Enoch, however the Brahmana is dated to around 1000 BC, which predates the story of Noah's ark.
There are many Native American tribes that also describe flood stories such as the Hopi deity Sotuknang, who created the nine worlds under the guidance of Taiowa and was the nephew of the grand creator god Tawa. Sotuknang caused a massive flood using rain and waves to punish mankind for becoming unruly again. According to one text, "The people found new ways to destroy and conquer. They sought to enhance their personal power at the expense of others. Some even invented flying shields, capable of carrying them to villages far away, where they could attack, pillage, and return so quickly that no one knew where they had gone. Sotuknang knew he could not allow this way of life to continue. So he warned Spider Woman that he would again destroy the people, this time with a great flood".
The Anishinaabe creation story of the spirit Nanabozho describes a vengeful god who punishes mankind with a giant flood. Nanabozho tries to warn the people and anyone who didn't heed his warning perished as a result of the event. The Anasazi and Clovis cultures seem to mysteriously vanish from the historic timeline, and the Anasazi built their dwellings dangerously high up on cliff faces, perhaps to avoid becoming victims of another flood.
The Greeks and Norse mythologies also contain many parallels to some of these deluge myths from around the world, and there exists links to the Tiddalik people all the way down in Australia. With just a quick comparison in nearly all flood legends found throughout history, we can see a definitive link within certain elements of nearly all these stories, however the most well-known and popularized version of the deluge story is one of the most recent ones found in our historic timeline.
NOAH & THE BOOK OF GENESIS
In the biblical story of the Garden of Eden featuring the first human creations Adam and Eve, they are placed within a lush garden and advised they are not to eat the apple of knowledge. In this storyline, the serpent Satan tempts them to eat the fruit and when they do, they suddenly realize they are naked and discover their reproductive organs indicating that they were not to learn of the process of procreation. After learning of this, they quickly cover up and are ashamed. Only God could create new humans, and many ancient stories parallel the act of reproduction and creating human beings as being one of the ultimate sins.
Another common aspect found within the stories of punishment through a deluge event is the destruction of humanity due to the sexual relations between the “daughters of man” and the “sons of God”. As we have revealed, the many common characteristics of ancient deluge stories seem to contain similar elements leading one to believe that there must be some sort of important overall moral to these stories. In nearly all deluge myths, we can see a divinely chosen individual or family who is selected to survive the catastrophe and continue the human race, in which we have all descended from. In the biblical story of Noah's ark, Enoch warns the Nephilim giants to repent, and Noah is chosen to reseed the Earth following the deluge.
The narrative describing the deluge can be found within the first book of the bible, particularly in Genesis verses 6 through 9, although some elements of this are also found within the Book of Enoch and other biblical texts as well. In Genesis 6:17, it is decided by the creator to destroy all flesh which has the “breath of life”, and the flood is described in Genesis 7:11-12 as the “fountains of the great deep” break open and a storm erupts which lasts for 40 days and 40 nights. In Genesis 8:5, the floodwaters begin to recede after around 5 months, and the ark is said to have been “lifted up above the Earth” where it then rested upon the mountains of Ararat on the 7th month and on the 17th day.
In Genesis 9:11, after Noah burns some incense god forgives mankind and makes a covenant with him promising never to destroy the Earth again which is symbolized by a rainbow. After being on the ship for around a year, Noah emerges from the craft and opens the hatch on the 1st day of the 1st month on New Years Day. Armed with the prior knowledge of civilization, Noah becomes the first post-deluge farmer and restarts a new beginning to agriculture where be creates and tends a vineyard. It is believed that Naxuan became the first settlement following the flood, and there exists a massive cemetery there in which millions of people have been requested to be buried there.
Prior to the great flood, Noah is forewarned by Uriel and given the blueprints to build the ark within 7 days and instructed to gather two of every animal species on Earth to board upon the vessel. Noah, being of divine birth and the great grandson of Enoch, was not the first person on the Earth and therefore a civilization did exist prior to the great flood. It is said that the Nephilim giants chose to give kingship to mankind by having a liaison on Earth, and the pre-diluvian city centers were eventually restored and rebuilt. It seems that although the knowledge of civilization was lost, it was preserved in geometry and the mathematics found within the inscriptions and dimensions of ancient stone monuments found in various places around the Earth.
According to the historian Flavius Josephus, "It is told about the children of Seth, the son of Adam, that they were the inventors of that peculiar sort of wisdom which is concerned with the heavenly bodies and their order. And that their inventions might not be lost before they were sufficiently known, they made two pillars upon Adam's prediction that the world was to be destroyed at one time by the force of fire and at another time by violence and quantity of water. The one was of brick, the other of stone, and they inscribed their discoveries on both, that in case the pillar of brick should be destroyed by the flood, the pillar of stone might remain, and exhibit these discoveries to mankind and also inform them that there was another pillar, or brick, erected by them".
In my opinion, since the ark was lifted up above the Earth and all life descended from this craft, it seems very likely that Noah's ark was actually a vault or DNA bank so that life could be reintroduced. It was probably a space vessel which contained the DNA code to the life forms in order to ensure the survival of the species. In this view, the creators become upset with mankind after they discovered the knowledge to procreate and fornicate and are punished after we discover how to clone and create life ourselves, something that only divine beings and the creators in folklore should have the ability to do.
Only a chosen one is meant to survive and have the knowledge to do so, in which after the disaster they live on to repopulate the Earth. Looking at it from this perspective, it seems as our current society advances and learn about our true past and gain the ability to clone and create new life forms, perhaps we will be punished once we become too smart and learn of this sacred knowledge. Ancient stories seem to all depict how life started from the heavens or the skies above, indicating even in ancient times that we are more connected to the cosmos then we are allowed to believe, and our true origin has been masked and concealed in this way.
BIBLICAL ARCHAEOLOGY
If we take a look back throughout history, it becomes clear that knowledge has been kept hidden from us by religious sects and secret societies. Mankind is punished if we become too aware, and those who propose these ideals are often ridiculed and shrugged off as pseudoscience. The truth of the matter remains however that biblical archaeology has been an important aspect in our search for answers, and this area of study and the discoveries made have been withheld from the general public. It seems that the more we become aware of this, the more we see the civilizations of Earth become more unstable and wars break out, often taking place in the exact regions where artifacts and evidence of our prehistory are discovered.
The colonization efforts and rediscovery of our ancient past provide evidence of this, such as the discovery of the Rosetta Stone in by Napoleon in Egypt in 1799. After this discovery, we were then able to translate cuneiform, which is the most ancient language found on Earth, originating in Mesopotamia in where the oldest forms of communication were discovered. Following this important discovery, the Louvre Museum in France, which is the largest museum in the world containing the collection of cuneiform tablets not yet translated closed for the first time in history, allowing the leaders of the world and members of the Vatican to verify and learn the true history of the human race on Earth.
The most ancient texts describing the flood and early prediluvian kingship was verified and exploration and archaeological efforts exploded during the 1800's. New discoveries were constantly being made as locations described in ancient texts were found to be accurate as they were unearthed and rediscovered. The word arc found in the word archaeology seems to hold a connection to the Arc of the Covenant and Noah's Ark, and as more discoveries were being made in quicker succession, the more we see the truth and secrets of these matters being hidden away by secret societies and a false narrative of human history being implemented to ensure the knowledge could not be learned by the general public.
Prior to the discovery of the Rosetta Stone during the war in Egypt by Napoleon, the lost and forbidden Book of Enoch was discovered by the explorer James Bruce in 1772. He was on a race to find the source of the Nile River and spent over a decade in Africa searching for it. While he was in Tigray, Ethiopia, he discovered the texts at a monastery which contained 108 chapters and provided additional details and evidence from the biblical story of Genesis that were omitted from the bible. It is during this time that connections were being made backtracking the biblical history of mankind as evidenced in Egypt and areas within the Middle East in an attempt to find and verify the original sources of these biblical stories.
Following the discovery of the Book of Enoch by James Bruce in 1772, another 11 copies of the texts were discovered in a cave in Qumran in 1947. This discovery is commonly referred to as the Dead Sea Scrolls where around 1000 manuscripts were discovered, verifying that the Book of Enoch was more important to the biblical narrative then what was led to believe. This discovery escalated the search to put the pieces of the puzzle together and it is around this time that many key events of our journey of self-discovery become clear. During the second world war, Hitler and the Nazi's were obsessed with finding artifacts and as the invasion of new countries took place, it was an important part of their agenda to raid the lodges of Freemasonry to discover and obtain the secrets they withheld.
On June 17th, 1949, an important discovery was made on Mount Ararat, the location of where it was believed that Noah's ark had landed. This discovery is known as the “Ararat Anomaly”, and immediately following the discovery the CIA became involved and the operation became classified and top secret. The CIA were actively involved in the search for evidence confirming biblical events following in the footsteps of those before them, and evidence and details of the ark and the flood remained classified by them for nearly 50 years. It was not until 1999 that they eventually declassified some of the documents relating to their search and discoveries as public awareness of their agenda became increasingly harder to suppress.
In October of 1959, another discovery was made in Uzengili, Turkey, during a NATO mapping mission by Ilhan Durupinar, who was a Turkish Army Captain. He believed he had found Noah's ark after he observed a structure resembling a large boat found 7000 feet above sea level. This discovery was found int he exact location of where the biblical story of Noah described he had made landfall and has become known as the “Durupinar Ship”. In the area of Naxuan, giant stone anchors were also discovered known as drogue stones which were used in ancient times to weigh down large vessels.
In our search for answers, many revelations have been made within the field of biblical archaeology however the truth of the matter is that the stories found within the bible mirror even older stories which have been passed down and morphed throughout the ages. In order to find out the truth of our past on this planet, it is very obvious that we must trace it back to the original source and find the root to the oldest known descriptions found on Earth.
On our historical quest to find the answers to the questions of our past a pattern emerges that has made the journey difficulty, and this pattern seems to have been repeated throughout history. This pattern is the intentional agenda to cover up our past, or hide the truth from the masses by using methods of secrecy or tactics to mislead us from obtaining this knowledge. These actions have even gone so far as to loot or destroy artifacts and entire libraries in order to prevent us from learning the secrets of our past. This has to have been done for a reason, and the big question we must ask ourselves is why would they be doing this?
In the modern digital age, it has become easier to suppress and control information in order to mislead and withhold the truth and knowledge from the public. We are seeing a reversal in the construction of libraries, as many cities and municipalities around the world have witnessed the closure of these establishments due to the digital copying and distribution of books. Sections of bookstores have become smaller, with less titles available and the production of physical materials has declined due to the easier access to digital copies of these works, which can and have often been edited or revised in the process. It has become quite easy to simply delete or remove content in order to keep people from gaining access to this knowledge.
During WWII, the Nazi party burned books in order to erase targeted literature and throughout history this method has been used many times. Prior to the invention of the printing press and computers, works of art and literature often only existed as a singular item unless handmade copies were made by scribes to distribute the information. As previously mentioned, it is all too easy to burn books and delete information however the destruction of stone monuments and inscriptions is a much more difficult process.
Many ancient cultures describe that following a deluge or disaster, the knowledge and technology of civilization was contained in stone that was buried in order to preserve the wisdom and allow for rediscovery at a future time. In fact, we have reverse engineered and learned a great deal from these discoveries and much of the way we live our lives today is a result of relearning from our ancestors. The more we have searched, the more we have found and we continue to make revelations and evolve our understanding due to the continuation of our search and new discoveries that are made.
In the past we have witnessed the largest and oldest libraries and centers of knowledge in the world being purposefully targeted and destroyed in an attempt to erase the entire cultural history of societies, and to prevent ideals and information from being spread to outside sources. In Egypt, the Library of Alexandria was damaged several times going as far back as the fires caused by Julius Caesar in 48 BC. It was further damaged by Emperor Aurelian during the 270's AD and the sister library in Serapeum was destroyed by the Christians in 391 AD as well as the Muslim conquest in 640 AD. These events led to the eventual loss of many scrolls however a vast amount of this knowledge survived through the “mystery schools” in the form of organizations of religious and occult studies and secret societies.
Following the discovery of the Rosetta Stone, a similar discovery was made in Iran by Henry Rawlinson in the 1830's known as the Behistun Inscription which was carved on a limestone cliff by Darius the Great around 520 BC. It was easily one of the most important discoveries to have ever been made in our archaeological history. Prior to the discovery of the Behistun Inscription, we had found clay tablets containing an unknown language that had yet to be translated anywhere in the world. These cuneiform tablets contained the oldest form of communication left behind by our ancient ancestors and it was believed that if we could translate this premiere language, we could learn about our past and cure our amnesia of historical events and the human journey.
The Behistun Inscription contained the same trilingual text written in Old Persian, Elamite and Akkadian, which held the key to be able to decipher the older versions written in cuneiform. Many discoveries were being made in the Middle East during this time indicating that that this area was likely the birthplace of modern civilization which is why we continue to see a focus of interest in this specific area of the world even to this day. Invasions and wars in the Middle East have existed for thousands of years and it seems that the closer we get to discovering the truth about our past, the more the effort to hide our truth escalates.
Shortly after the Behistun discovery, 30,000 cuneiform tablets were discovered in Iraq by British excavators Austen Henry Layard and Hormuzd Rassam in 1849. This collection of cuneiform was the oldest found on the Earth, known as the Library of Nineveh or the Library of Ashurbanipal. This library was created by the Assyrian King Ashurbanipal around 668-631 BC and contained the famous “Epic of Gilgamesh” texts, containing the earliest texts relating the deluge and reset of humanity providing the oldest known root source of the story.
Attempts to destroy the library were made by the Babylonians and Medians including a fire in 612 BC, which only baked the clay tablets turning them to harder stone and preserving the information found within the texts. Remarkably, in an inscription discovered at the Library of Nineveh which was authored by King Ashurbanipal himself, he stated that, "The god of scribes has bestowed on me the gift of the knowledge of his art. I have been initiated into the secrets of writing. I can even read the intricate tablets in Shumerian. I understand the enigmatic words in the stone carvings from the days before the Deluge".
If we follow the human footprint, it seems that all roads eventually lead to Mesopotamia, and the root for many religions and the story of modern humanity seems to begin in the region of Mesopotamia. The deluge epics of Mesopotamia were passed down from Sumerian to Akkadian and Babylonian and as civilizations evolved it spread out to other cultures. Therefore, we will take our investigation to the furthest reaches of written historic record and into the region of ancient Sumeria, also known as the “cradle of civilization”.
KING ZIUSUDRA & THE ERIDU GENESIS
The Sumerians and cultures of Mesopotamia described the great flood through many epics, including those of Ziusudra, Gilgamesh and Atrahasis, the "Very Wise". One cannot help but notice the many similarities between the Sumerian King Lists and flood texts, and the biblical patriarchs mentioned in the book of Genesis. One also cannot help but notice that not only does the bible and Sumerian accounts describe the flood occurring as a matter of fact, but so do many other cultural descriptions of history, such as the Hindu story of Manu and the Great Yu in China.
Prior to the discoveries of cuneiform tablets containing texts such as the Epic of Gilgamesh, the biblical story of the flood stood alone. The parallels found within the comparison of these stories provided evidence supporting that the biblical stories were actually influenced by the much older Sumerian and Akkadian cultures that existed and first transcribed them beforehand, and the archaeological discoveries that were made proved this fact. The discovery of the Akkadian Epic of Gilgamesh and older sources found in Sumeria displayed a clearly visible line linking the influences from culture to culture throughout several periods of human history.
Therefore, if we understand these parallels that exist within the historic record, if we change our perspective on how we look at these things we can establish a clearer picture of what actually happened in our distant past. In regard to the connections and parallels found within the flood stories, I believe that these cultures are telling the same story however names and details were changed over time which has caused much confusion.
In fact, in the ancient Sumerian city of Ur which is located in modern day Iraq, the house of the biblical Abraham was discovered near the ancient Sumerian pyramid structure known as the Ziggurat of Ur. Following the invasion or Iraq, this was one of the first places taken over by the Americans and they used this ancient monument as a base of operation which is still likely under their control even to this day. The parallels found within the biblical narrative and the Sumerian accounts cannot be denied.
If we look at the similarities of flood myths using this perspective, it could be assumed that the biblical character of Noah as described by the Assyrians was actually Utnapishtim and if we connect it to the older Sumerian descriptions Noah was actually King Ziusudra, whose name means “life of distant days”. Taking it even further and providing additional connections, the Babylonian and Akkadian version of Noah is Atrahasis, and the more modern Greek version is Sisithros, which is curiously nearly the name of Atrahasis spelled backwards. The roles and similarities of these characters are too close to deny and has been an important area of interest since these discoveries.
In the Sumerian account of the flood found within the Eridu Genesis, the god of wind and storms Enlil becomes upset and weary of mankind and decides to destroy the human race. Enki, who is the god of wisdom then warns the King Ziusudra and gives him instructions to build a ship to collect the animals and survive with his family. After sending a storm that raged for a week and caused a flood, Ziusudra emerges by opening a vent and after performing a sacrifice is rewarded the gift of eternal life in the paradise of Dilmun.
In the older stories of Ziusudra and Utnapishtim, the characters are taken to the celestial abode of the gods to live, and the descriptions of the ark seem to resemble more of a space craft rather than a boat. The Sumerian deluge story does not state that two of every animal was to be saved as in the story of Noah but rather states that the “seed” of all living things was to be preserved. Knowing that it would be physically impossible to contain a pair of all living species on the Earth within the confines of a boat, it makes more sense that the seed or DNA of these species was rather saved to continue life on the planet.
In the Akkadian version of events, Utnapishtim is instructed by Enki to build a “sunken boat” or submarine to save the seed of all living things, and Utnapishtim was given advanced warning of the plans of divine vengeance. In respect to the Akkadian version, Utnapishtim brings aboard craft builders onto the ark or spaceship and awaits a signal from Shamash, a deity who was in charge of the “fiery rockets” at Sippur. The Apkallu were also spared in the flood, who were fish-men found within seven semi-divine sagas found within the ancient Mesopotamian mythology.
It has been argued that these ancient accounts are simply stories and mythology and there is a lack of evidence to provide proof of these events happening, and while this may be true in relation to the biblical account of Noah the same cannot be said about the existence of King Ziusudra, as his name is found on WB-62 on the Sumerian King List (SKL). Ziusudra was the king of Shuruppak and ruled for 10 sars, which are periods of 3600 years. While it may seem impossible to believe that a king could rule for 36,000 years, the SKL indicates that Ziusudra was the last prediluvian king to reign and the flood event marks an important turning point in the historic record and kingship.
The dividing line of the flood event separates the prediluvian kings from the antediluvian kings, and the length of time they ruled significantly changes following the deluge. The SKL states that the ones before the flood ruled for lengths of time spanning thousands of years but after King Ziusudra and the flood the kings ruled for more expected lengths of time more relevant to the lifespan of current antediluvian human beings. According to the texts and king list, "After the flood had swept over, and the kingship had descended from heaven, the kingship was in Kish".
GILGAMESH & THE EPIC OF ATRAHASIS
The fact remains that the Sumerian King List does provide an accurate list of rulers, as the evidence to support the existence of these kings is supported by archaeological evidence and new revelations and discoveries continue to be made. The most likely source of the biblical story of Noah is considered by many historians to be the story of Utnapishtim found in the Epic of Gilgamesh. What makes this interesting is the fact that Gilgamesh is mentioned in the Book of Giants which is a biblical text found within the Dead Sea Scrolls and expands upon the story of Genesis along with the Book of Enoch.
Gilgamesh was a Sumerian king who ruled the ancient kingdom of Uruk and described as a demigod with superhuman strength and often associated with Enkidu. According to the Book of Giants, Gilgamesh was one of the giants killed by the biblical flood and ruled Uruk in the early Dynastic Period for a period of 126 years. The Sumerian city of Uruk is at times referred to as Eanna, and his mother was the goddess Ninsun and his son was Ur-Nungal, who ruled for a more moderate length of 30 years.
The Epic of Gilgameš is sometimes referred to as the Atrahasis Epic, although they are considered to be separate tablets. Portions of the Epic of Atrahasis are quoted on Tablet XI of the Epic of Gilgamesh, however the Atrahasis tablets are the most complete Mesopotamian record of the flood found in ancient times, with the most detailed description found on three stone tablets which contain around 1200 lines of text. The Atra-Hasis is the Akkadian and Babylonian story of the flood and provides a very similar yet unique telling of the deluge. In the Babylonian accounts, several gods become angered with humans and conspire to eliminate mankind, as opposed to other accounts such as the biblical retelling.
The protagonist of the Akkadian and Babylonian accounts is Atra-Hasis, which translates to mean “exceedingly wise” and the texts contain both a flood account and creation story. They describe a time when gods and demigods were upon the Earth and after a revolt by the lesser gods, the decision is made to create a new slave species in order to relieve the lower gods from doing laborious tasks. As a result, man was created and eventually the behavior and sins being committed by humans upset the greater gods who decide to destroy the imperfect species by sending a massive flood.
The decision to destroy mankind is made by the supreme god Enlil, however Atrahasis is warned of the deluge in a dream and instructed to build an ark or ship to survive the deluge. In some accounts he is given the warning by Ea, and in others it is Enki who reveals the plans of the gods to him. Some variations of the epic differ and describe the gods being hungry due to a lack of farmers and mention that the Anunnaki were thirsting and starving, and Ninti was thirsty for beer as they waited for the deluge to take place until it was safe for them to return. The Nephilim kept the secrets of the flood from man, escaping into Earth's orbit until it was safe to return.
Atrahasis survived the flood by building a ship and there are mentions of him bringing a boatman along with him, whose name was Puzur-Amurri which translates to mean “westerner who knows the secrets”. Following the recession of the flood, there are many regulations put in place by the gods in order for future generations to follow, including those relating to our reproduction, childbirth and celibacy. This detail is similar to the biblical story of the Garden of Eden, where the first humans are warned not to eat the Apple of Eden, a symbol of knowledge in where after they ate the fruit, they discovered their sexual organs and learned how to procreate.
The Epic of Atrahasis was written in the 17th century BC which has become known from several different versions, in which two of them were written by Assyrian scribes in both Assyrian and Babylonian dialects. The third of these was written on three tablets during the reign of Ammi-Saduqa who was the ruler of Babylonia between 1647-1626 BC. The Tablet of the Covenant is also based on the Babylonian record of Atrahasis as well as the Babylonian history by Berosus as described by the Greek Abydenus.
In the Greek account, Sisithros is the biblical Noah and Abydenus wrote, "Kronos revealed to Sisithros that there would be a Deluge on the fifteenth day of Daisios (the second month), and ordered him to conceal in Sippar, the city of Shamash and the rockets, every available writing. Sisithros accomplished all these things and sailed immediately to Armenia, and thereupon what the god had announced did happen." In this version Sisithros also releases birds in order to detect dry land and is taken by the gods to the heavenly abode.
As we can clearly see, there are many similarities found throughout the many flood epics around the world and there is evidence to support that these people actually existed. The records seem to show that many of the locations mentioned and events described actually did happen, and since many texts describe a flood taking place which destroyed humanity and the source of these stories come from Mesopotamia, we should now focus our attention on discovering the evidence supporting that a flood did actually take place during this time.
MIDDLE EAST FLOOD EVIDENCE
The last city mentioned to hold the kingship in Mesopotamia before the flood was Shuruppak, the kingdom of King Ziusudra, who was the parallel to the biblical flood hero Noah. In Shuruppak, which is located in modern day Tell Fara, Iraq, there is evidence that shows localized river flooding occurred. River sediments going as far north as the city of Kish have been discovered, showing signs that a massive flood did actually occur. Radiocarbon dating has put the timeframe to 2900 BC, when there was a disruption to the continuity of many settlements.
Found immediately below the flood stratum at Shuruppak was polychrome pottery which has been dated to the Jemdet Nasr period of 3000 to 2900 BC, adding to the evidence and getting warmer to find an approximate timeframe of the deluge. What also adds spice to the mix is that the date of the artifacts that have been excavated that prove the Sumerian kings actually existed starts coming into focus around 2600 BC, just after the flood. Could this also be merely a coincidence?
More evidence surfaces when we look at other details of the deluge. The kingdom of Kish is said to have begun around 2700 BC, and when excavations were done at Kish, the earliest level of civilization discovered was from the Jemdet Nasr period, dating to around 2800 to 2400 BC, however many believe it was established more close to 3000 BC. Due to the nature of some of the names from the Kish Dynasty, mainly the animal names of some rulers, it is apparent that the people of the kingdom of Kish had a strong Semitic component since its earliest history.
According to Ignace Gelb, the Polish American historian, Assyriologist, and pioneer in the scientific study of writing, Kish is the center of the earliest East Semitic civilization. It is also circa 3000 BC that the first cuneiform writing begins to appear in the historical record, drawing a line in the sand between history and pre-history.
So, if we look at our current scenario, we have the kingship and seed of the cosmic gods being held in Shuruppak by King Ziusudra. Flooding in Shuruppak is evidenced to have occurred between 3000 to 2900 BC, which spanned all the way to the northern region of Kish. Archaeological evidence shows that Kish was established around 3000-2800 BC, and according to the Sumerian King List its first ruler was King Jushur.
The Sumerian King List reads in part, "After the flood had swept over, and the kingship had descended from heaven, the kingship was in Kish." It should also be noted that aside from the textual records, no concrete evidence or proof has been found proving the definite existence of any of the divine kings listed on the Sumerian King List prior to the kingship in Kish. It is during the Kish Dynasty that the archaeological record opens up, and kings mentioned on the list become verified. Is this merely a coincidence?
The third Great God of Sumer was Ea, whose name translates to “house-water”. Ea was also referred to as Enki and was the son of Anu, who along with his brother Enlil came down to the Earth from the heavens. According to the Sumerian texts, the arrival of Ea or Enki took place during a time when the Persian Gulf was much more inland than it is today, meaning the southern part of the country was essentially a marshland area. Ea is associated with constructing canals and diking rivers which led to the draining of the marshlands, and he built his “great house” at the edge of this marsh area. After the city was established, it became known as Haaki, the “place of the water-fishes” which is more commonly known as the city of Eridu, meaning “home of going afar”.
Apparently, it seems that Kish was a shoreline at one point in time until expanded river waters receded back to their natural cyclical volumes. This could be why the kingship was taken further away from the flooded zones of the earlier kingdoms. Supporting this, many of the earliest maps from the region depict a shoreline as far north as Ur, which is also known as Uruk. In the historical Epic of Gilgamesh, he speaks with a survivor of the flood who is evidenced to have been the king of Uruk, or the biblical Erech around the time of 2800 BC.
From Kish, it is said that the kingship was taken to Uruk. In Uruk, a temple known as Eanna which translates to the "House of An" or the "Lord of Heaven" was built atop a ziggurat which is essentially the Sumerian equivalent of an Egyptian pyramid. Is it merely a coincidence that the biblical account comes into play by the Semetic kings of Mesopotamia right after the construction of the temple to the Lord of Heaven? This adds a further connection linking these deluge accounts from the past.
A detailed comparison of the Sumerian and biblical timeline was put forth by Zecharia Sitchin in the first book of his Earth Genesis series called 'The 12th Planet'. He describes the arrival of the Anunnaki coming to Earth during the beginning of the Mesopotamian New Year known as “Akiti” time, when the planet Nibiru passed Jupiter and drew closer to the Earth. By the time of the second month, it was closest to Mars and between the second month and twelfth month known as “Addar”, the deluge was loosed upon the Earth. According to Sitchin, this timeline is in perfect harmony with the biblical account when it states that the "fountains of the great deep burst open" on the seventeenth day of the second month.
Perhaps it may come as no surprise then, that many river deltas seem to have begun forming around this time as well. New rivers sculpted their way through landscapes or settled in new masses, forming new bodies of water dating to the 3000 BC timeframe. Evidence seems to show that Niagara Falls and the Mississippi rivers began forming around this time period as well and are only a few thousand years old. The Greek historian Herodotus reported that according to Egyptian priests, they claimed that at the beginning of the First Dynasty, none of the land north of Lake Moeris was above water.
An important aspect in the cultural history of ancient Egypt was the natural cycle and deposition of silt relating to the flooding of the Nile River, which is commonly referred to as “Inundation”. Discussions relating to flood events in Egypt have remained controversial however, with much of the research in this area being labelled as fringe by the mainstream. An example of this suppression can be found in the 'Sphinx Water Erosion Hypothesis' and the work of John Anthony West, where evidence of flood erosion has been found on the enclosing walls and Great Sphinx of Giza.
The more that flood geologists look into the deluge the harder it is for the mainstream to ignore or shrug off the evidence, such as the filling of the Black Sea when the Dardanelles first opened up and the recently discovered ancient waterway beside the Great Pyramids of Egypt. It is also impossible to ignore the fact that the geographic evidence proves that Egypt shows signs of a post-flood wet climate, and I expect it won't be long before these findings and evidence are accepted as fact as opposed to fringe.
The First Dynasty of Egypt is dated to approximately 3000 BC, and ended in the precise year of 2686 BC. As you can see from this scholarly example the dates before the flood point are often estimates, while dates after the flood seem to be more accurate to an exact single year. Once this is noticed, the pattern is more apparent when looking back at history. Something definitely happened to civilization at that precise point in our history, and if we can take a step forward and put the great flood into our proven historical timeline then things start to make much more sense.
Egyptian written history starts surfacing around this time, and in fact it seems that several new and unique civilizations begin to develop around this time in history as well. It is around the 3000 BC mark that we begin to be able to trace back genealogies and the families of mankind, as well as the beginning of cultural diversity. There are also fewer examples of monumental building such as pyramids and ziggurats that happen much after 3000 BC, with some obvious exceptions of course. It is at this point in history that civilization as we know it changed forever.
An excellent example of this can be found in the massive encyclopedic volume known as 'The Timetables of History'. The 1991 edition that I have contains 791 pages, and is a very large textbook containing a chronological timeline of human history. The first two pages of this massive volume contains all of the events between 5000 BC to 2001 BC, while the remaining pages of the book describe the rest of human history, spanning from 2000 BC up until 1990 AD. The reason for this is very well likely the flood, as there is little evidence that exists in the historical record from before this time and it's as if civilization all of a sudden begins at the time immediately following the timeframe of the flood.
Another interesting example of this is found within the Time-Life Books series of history called TimeFrame. Each of these books are part of an encyclopedic collection which states, "This volume is one in a series that tells the story of humankind." The first volume of this large series is called 'The Age of God Kings' which begins the timeline of human history starting at 3000 BC. Is this merely a coincidence? I don't think so, as it seems the flood event has played a much more important role in human history than it has been given credit for. The title of this first volume also suggests that this was the age when gods were upon the Earth, exactly as the ancient texts of creation and the deluge describe.
To summarize, I believe that there was a flood at some point around the 3000 BC timeframe and after the survivors had time to adapt and move northwards away from the flood zones, the kingship was then taken north to Kish and began spreading outward at that point. It took a while to get going again and for water levels to return to normal, but it seems that it was around this time that significant changes take place and human civilization begins to advance rapidly. It's also around this time that the human footprint becomes more evident and provable within the archaeological record.
It is also around this time that the global population begins to grow and expand like never before, resulting in the antediluvian population that exists today. In comparison to the time before the flood, this pattern does not exist which supports my theory that we did not evolve on the Earth and could not have been on this planet for as long as it has been proposed. Another interesting aspect to this is that many of the ancient texts state that the ancient megaliths and structures found across the Earth were already here and built by the gods, and that we were created by them in their image and given the gift of knowledge which brought forth the sudden spark of human civilization we see on record.
MULTIPLE FLOOD EVENTS
Often these deluge stories were described as a singular catastrophic occurrence, taking form as a massive global flood which wipes out a majority of the human race. This has led researchers to search for evidence of a worldwide flooding event of this magnitude; however, no evidence has been currently found to support a single global deluge. Due to the vast amount of flood stories found in different regions around the world, it seems more likely that there were numerous deluge events that occurred in different geographic locations, and the evidence to support this does exist and has been found and accepted as factual.
An important element within flood myths that should not be overlooked is that many of these stories explain that there was a society that already existed on the Earth before the flood. This civilization was destroyed by the gods leading to our current population being the descendants of the surviving chosen ones. In some instances, the destruction of mankind by floods or disaster occurs several times after our creator gods become upset with the human species, suggesting a pattern of extermination being used if humans become too wise or cannot be controlled by the gods or creators anymore.
If we take a look at the many flood stories described by cultures around the world, many of these were coastal civilizations or societies located near bodies of water. Even today we see storms that hit coastal communities that cause flooding and the destruction of cities, however the population was much smaller in those days and a society being nearly entirely destroyed by a flood or natural disaster seems more likely from this perspective. In order to survive, the survivors of these cataclysms were on boats which also makes sense in this respect.
The stories of these survivors could have been passed on which would explain why other cultures have similar flood myths, as they were influenced by travelers or missionaries over time. It is also a possibility that throughout history several floods did take place in different areas leading to the numerous accounts and variations found within their description of these events. Perhaps a combination of both of these factors plays an important role in the existence of flood myths found throughout the world.
The journey to find the truth about the deluge has led us to many revelations, and although it is hard for most people to believe that these events were caused by an angry god or celestial being, the fact that natural disasters and floods continue to happen and have occurred in past is impossible to argue and categorize as fringe. This search has led the scientific community to come to more practical conclusions as to what caused these events to take place, removing the religious and mythological aspects from the equation.
Advancements in our methods of testing has allowed us to paint a more accurate picture of our past, such as carbon dating, atmospheric testing, and ice core samples. As a result of these continued efforts, we have discovered evidence showing periods of extreme Earth changes throughout history. Many of these changes were observed by civilizations of the past and as new evidence is realized and revealed, portions of the mythology have become accepted as historical fact.
After performing studies which included an isotopic analysis of deep-sea sediments, evidence of large-scale flooding was discovered and produced by Cesare Emiliani, a professor from the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Miami. The evidence showed that a cataclysmic flood took place at the end of the ice age within the timeframe of the Younger Dryas, “between 12,000 and 11,000 years ago”. Atmospheric tests such as the Greenland Ice Tests and those carried out at the Salt Lake Oil Field have also shown evidence of drastic Earth changes and flooding events.
It has been proposed that these massive flood events were the result of a solar flare or sun activity, while others believe that other cosmic forces such as asteroid impacts were the cause of these deluge events. As studies in this area continue, new discoveries and revelations are being made, and we are slowly getting closer to the truth. What seems to be clear is that there have been multiple flood events which were triggered by various reasons and not just the result of an angry god from the stars above.
IMPACT TSUNAMIS
As mentioned previously, it has been proposed by some researchers that the cause of some of these flood events could be the result of an extraterrestrial impact. Several studies have taken place throughout the years to provide the evidence to support this theory, and it is a probable culprit. In relation to the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis however, I believe that it was actually caused by solar activity and planetary warming as a result of orbit positioning, but impacts played a role in some respects as well.
Aside from the Younger Dryas event, there is evidence to support that the impacts of comets, asteroids and meteors have caused flooding events and natural disasters in the past. The surface of the Earth consists of approximately 70% water and 30% land, so perhaps it could be expected that around 70% of incoming objects from space would touch down on water. If the object was large enough, it would cause a massive impact tsunami which would cause a considerable amount of damage to the environment as the waves reached the shoreline, especially if there were communities living in the affected area.
Perhaps some ocean disasters that suddenly appear without the presence of extreme rain and weather conditions could be the result of an impact tsunami, especially if the incoming object was not detected or reported beforehand. Although we have become better at tracking NEO's and potential threats from space, it was not long ago when our ability to observe these objects was very limited. Therefore, it can only be assumed that most impact events of the past slipped right through our radar, going undetected only to later be discovered and studied as we are currently in the process of doing so now.
A New York Times science article that was published in 2006 reported that studies were being conducted in an attempt to relate some of the many flood myths to actual natural events that took place and could be accurately dated, such as volcanic eruptions, asteroid impacts and solar eclipses. According to the article, Dr. Bruce Masse, an environmental archaeologist from the Los Alamos National Laboratory studied 175 flood myths from around the world to support a theory that an oceanic comet hit the Earth, causing a massive impact tsunami that was around 600 feet high.
After Masse used details from the flood myths to cross-validate his hypothesis, he discovered that 14 of the myths mentioned a full solar eclipse which he determined to be the one that took place in 2807 BC. He also made links with the Hindu myth mentioning the alignment of five planets during this same timeframe, an event which only occurs once every 5000 years or so. Another connection was also made with a Chinese story that mentions a flood during the reign of the Empress Nu Wa. This led him to propose that a comet around 3 miles wide touched down onto the Indian Ocean, pinpointing an exact date of the event taking place on May 10th, 2807, BC.
Dr. Masse reported that, “Half the myths talk of a torrential downpour” and added that “A third talk of a tsunami. Worldwide they describe hurricane force winds and darkness during the storm. All of these could come from a mega-tsunami”. Masse was part of a research group called the Holocene Impact Working Group (HIWG), who believed that the location of the impact was the Burckle Crater off the coast of Madagascar. Named after Dr. Lloyd Burckle from the Columbia University in the United States, the Burckle Abyssal Impact Crater is a 30km wide crater located deep underwater, approximately 1500km to the south-east of Madagascar.
During their studies, members of the HIWG began using satellite images from Google Earth to locate chevrons, which they believe to be evidence of mega-tsunamis in the past. Dr. Ted Bryant, a geomorphologist from the University of Wollongong in Australia said that “We’re not talking about any tsunami you’ve ever seen”. After locating chevron sites in Australia, Africa, Europe and the Hudson River Valley and Long Island areas in the United States, Bryant claimed that “Aceh was a dimple. No tsunami in the modern world could have made these features. End-of-the-world movies do not capture the size of these waves. Submarine landslides can cause major tsunamis, but they are localized. These are deposited along whole coastlines.”
Perhaps the most interesting aspect to this research is the timeframe that this event is believed to have taken place in. The date of May 10th, 2807, BC aligns perfectly with the flooding evidence found in many areas of the world, as reported by the ancient civilizations of the past. Although the impact tsunami theory has been argued by some scholars, it does offer a plausible explanation for the flooding events that have been evidenced during this time period of history.
While an impact tsunami similar to the one described by the HIWG would certainly cause large-scale devastation, there is evidence indicating that even larger flooding events have taken place in the past that caused much more damage, shaping and transforming the planet into what it is today. While an impact tsunami is the result of a more centralized and sudden event, there are other causes for massive flooding that took much longer to unfold which affected larger areas of the Earth.
HYDROPLATE THEORY
Another proposed explanation which could cause a massive flooding event is the hydroplate theory, which puts forth the idea that shifts of plate tectonics could have caused water to burst from beneath the Earth's crust. This idea goes back to ancestral and biblical descriptions of the breaking open of the “fountains of the great deep” found in the Book of Genesis, indicating that the flood came from the sea along with storms and massive waves.
Fault lines, oceanic ridges, and the shifting or disruption of tectonic plates has a significant impact on the ocean itself, causing natural disasters and extreme cataclysmic events which effects the communities living in coastal regions. Because geophysical components and systems are all connected, any influences or changes can alter various elements leading to a wide range of abrupt reactions. Some of these factors include magnetic variations found on the ocean floors, volcanic activity, plate overthrusts, geothermal heat and temperature changes, metamorphic rock, radioactivity, current and pressure changes, and of course the influences from space play an important role in all of this.
According to the common belief several plates comprise the Earth's crust, ranging in size with some being up to 30 to 60 miles thick. These plates move at a rate similar to the growth of the human fingernail, about one inch per year and move relative to each other. Earth's land and water masses ride atop of these plates with some continents sitting on more than one plate. Along these shelves or plates run fault lines, such as the San Andreas Fault along California which are fractures that run along the Earth due to a process referred to as slippage.
The Hydroplate Theory proposes that the source of the water for the flood erupted from beneath Earth's crust along a fault line, most commonly believed to be the area of the Mid-Oceanic or Mid-Atlantic Ridge, in the area where Plato wrote that Atlantis was located. As a result of the hydroplates breaking apart or shifting, large amounts of subterranean water erupted like a volcano releasing a vast amount of materials which moved in opposite directions like conveyor belts similar to the way that ocean currents function. This seafloor spreading caused the material to rise up toward the crest of the Mid-Oceanic Ridge, adding to the observed global levels of sea level rising.
This sudden event released a force of directed energy focused upward exceeding the power of countless hydrogen bombs. The cause of this release is debated, but it is worth considering that an oceanic impact of a comet could have disrupted the plates and fault lines. This could explain the bursting of the deep water, earthquakes and formation of subsequent impact tsunamis that occurred which created a massive wall of water. During this time, the planet was also warming and as the ice sheets were broken apart and began melting, all of these processes combined would have caused an event of flooding and change on Earth hardly witnessed in the planet's history.
Recently, geophysicist Stefan Burns has been making some very interesting connections and I believe they provide some groundbreaking discoveries that will become accepted in the near future. These connections include solar activities and the effect they have on our planet, including earthquakes, geomagnetic storms, planetary alignments and their connection with global geopolitical tensions. It would appear that during the times of increased conflict that takes place on the Earth, we also see a rise in rare alignments, celestial activity and natural disasters similar to what is described in many ancient texts. of time changed the course of history and remains a topic of debate within many academic circles. This is because things just don't add up to what we are told the official story is.
The geophysical energy of the Earth is directly connected to our sun, and at this current time in history there are two massive coronal holes on the sun as well as active growing sunspots and rare planetary alignments. During 2025 and 2026, we have seen an increase in strange weather patterns, onsets of large earthquakes and plate shifting, as well as the appearance of previously unidentified objects in space such as 3I/Atlas. As waves of low density, high velocity solar winds spread out and reach the Earth, it seems we are witnessing events similar to the deluge era as described by our ancestors in the past.
DEGLACIATION & ICE SHEETS
Currently, we are living in the Cenozoic Era or Quaternary Period of the Holocene Epoch. In the historic context we are in the Modern Era or Contemporary Period, in the geological Anthropocene period due to the human impact on the planet. It is very likely that it will soon be recognized that we are also at the beginning of the AI or Information Age. Earth changes are taking place rapidly and it seems that the more humans try to control this, we are discovering that many elements of the natural world is out of our control and contributes to the Anthropocene Extinction we are facing.
As we battle things like climate change, we are witnessing the melting of the ice caps and the final stages of the last ice age. The separation of the current Holocene Epoch and the interglacial period known as the Pleistocene Epoch is marked by the warming period in between, which took place around 11,700 years ago concluding with the Holocene glacial retreat. This shift saw a sudden change in global temperatures and geological activity on the Earth which caused significant changes to the planet, which includes the Younger Dryas which occurred between 12,900 and 11,700 years ago.
Although it was initially opposed and deemed a hypothesis by mainstream scientists, research into the flooding events of the Younger Dryas period and the end of the last ice age has come a long way since its rocky beginnings. Researchers such as Randall Carlson and Graham Hancock have been through their fair share of ridicule, but due to their efforts we have a much clearer picture about what took place during the time period of between 15,000 and 11,000 years ago, as well as the collapse of the Laurentide Ice Sheet around 10,000 to 8,400 years ago.
What remains clear is that the Earth went through significant changes during this time, as the climate warmed and the ice sheets dramatically melted, which I believe was caused in part by solar activity and a change in the distance of the Earth from the sun. For around 100,000 years prior to this, North America was covered with immense ice sheets that were up to two miles thick and as a result of the drastic temperature changes it caused them to melt. This caused a gradual rise in sea levels and changes to the Earth now evidenced on a global scale.
An influential researcher of the last 40 years who has remained vigilant, despite facing opposition from mainstream academia is the “Renegade Scholar” Randall Carlson. Carlson is a geological explorer, architectural designer, geometrician, teacher and freemason who has contributed greatly to the field of geo-mythology through his exploration of ancient mysteries and modern science. Throughout his life, he has visited many locations around the world to study geological anomalies from ground zero, expanding on the evidence of a great flood near the end of the Younger Dryas around 12,800 years ago.
Before the age of Google Earth, Carlson did things the hard way by documenting these sites firsthand to support his theories relating to the flood and the impact it had on the Earth. He believed that the melting of the ice sheet carved out the mountains in southern Asia and documented the water damage found in specific locations in North America indicating an event took place of global proportions. It is much easier now to spot the evidence using Google Earth, and an example of this damage can be seen if you view the region of the Himalayas spreading out across northern Africa. Carlson provides many examples of areas around the world that were shaped by the melting of ice sheets and glacial floods.
Prior to the work of Randall Carlson, another pioneer of geomorphology was also discovering sites with boots on the ground in the 1920's. His observations and theories were also initially opposed by the mainstream community, only to later be accepted as the truth and historical fact. This American geologist was J Harlen Bretz, who argued that many geological features he had observed in America were the formed as a result of a massive flooding event around the time of the ice age. In the words of Bretz's biographer, he believed that the unique features he had analyzed “could only have been created by a flood of unimaginable proportions, possibly the largest flood in the history of the world”.
After discovering a large number of erratic's, which are giant displaced boulders that don't naturally belong in the area, Bretz came to the conclusion that these objects must have been brought to these locations in icebergs during a massive glacial flood event. After exploring the large channels at Grand Coulee and Moses Coulee, he discovered that the 600-square mile depression of the Quincy Basin at the southern end of the Grand Coulee had filled with particles of basalt debris up to a depth of 400 feet. Naturally, he wondered where all this debris had originated from leading him to conclude that it must have been transported to the location by a flood.
Initially, Bretz believed that the features he had studied were the result of a single cataclysm, but in 1959, the same year he was awarded with the Neil Milner Award for his contributions to Earth Sciences he wrote that “there were several floods”. In 1979, at the age of 96, Bretz was awarded the Penrose Medal, the highest accolade of the Geological Society of America, and by this time he believed that up to eight floods had taken place. Following this modification, the number of floods increased steadily from a dozen to over twenty, then to “about forty” and increasing onward to as many as ninety or more.
For over 100 years, our understanding of deglaciation and mega-floods has evolved and studies in the fields of hydrology, paleo-floods, and geosciences have allowed us to more accurately describe these events. Prior to this time, these ideals were generally opposed but according to Vic Baker, a Professor of Hydrology, Atmospheric and Planetary Geosciences at the University of Arizona, he states that, “The most current opinion is that there were about eighty floods that all occurred within a period of 2,500 years [roughly between 15,000 years ago and 12,000 years ago], possibly at regular intervals”.
New evidence continues to surface as a result of ongoing research efforts and there are specific locations found across the Earth which bear the scars of deglaciation and the collapse of the ice sheets. Many of these features are now easily observed using Google Earth and in order to have a better understanding of these cycles and the effect they have had on our planet; it is important to retrace the steps of the pioneers who initially made these influential and once controversial discoveries.
LAKE MISSOULA & THE SCABLANDS
The research of J Harlen Bretz relating to geology and caves, along with his arguments and stubborn certainty eventually led to the acceptance of a flood event which occurred which shaped much of the American northwest landscape. Although this was not the only discovery he had made, it is the one he is best known for in which he received the status of pariah until it was accepted.
Bretz believed that the source of the deluge could be traced to the Glacial Lake Missoula, which as mentioned in previous chapters, falls in line with my analysis of a 144 degree constant as observed in formations like Lake Agassiz and the Hudson Bay area. Many rivers and shorelines are also aligned with this angle, and it could be that Lake Missoula was formed by an asteroid impact during a cluster event at some point prior to the flooding onset.
Although Bretz originally believed this to be a singular deluge event, he subsequently concluded that over a dozen flood events took place before the time of the last torrential cataclysms which took place around 12,000 to 15,000 years ago. He proposed that the flood released a force of energy hundreds of times stronger than that of the volcanic eruption of Mount St. Helens, stating it was the largest flood event in the history of our planet. The initial cause of the flood was the melting of glaciers which raised ocean levels on a global scale and caused a chain reaction of events.
At this time, Glacial Lake Missoula was around 900 feet deep and covered an area approximately three times the size of Rhode Island. Northwest of Missoula, a glacial ice dam existed that was around 2000 feet deep and as a result of glacial melting it caused the dam to break, resulting in a flood of epic proportions. Eventually, the floodwaters in Glacial Lake Missoula reached a point in where it could no longer be contained leading to the ice dam to reach a height where it floated on top like an ice cube in a glass of water.
As water flowed underneath, the ice lifted loose from the rock causing a wall of water to spread across the landscape heading towards the Pacific Ocean at speeds of up to 65 miles per hour. The glacial dam burst caused flooding in areas up to 400 miles away, travelling through the areas of Spokane and Pasco and shaping the landscape in the Scablands of Eastern Washington, Idaho and Oregon. The floodwater was around 500 feet deep in the Scablands area, which moved sediment and bars of gravel in which some were several miles in length.
As the flood traveled, it shook the ground and carried massive blocks of ice and boulders to new locations vast distances away. In areas like the Wallula Gap the depth of water reached up to 1000 feet, and a 160-ton boulder was transported on floating ice from Northern Idaho all the way to the Portland area on water up to 400 feet deep. A meteorite weighing 31,107 pounds was also carried from the Canadian ice sheets from the area of Eugene all the way to the Willamette Valley.
It is believed that the Glacial Lake Missoula was emptied within the timespan of just several days, where eventually a new glacial lake and ice dam was formed. It is believed by some researchers that the lakes refilled and emptied dozens of times over the course of 2500 years or so, with additional dam breaches taking place which caused further floods, however it is more widely accepted that it was a single flood event which caused the devastation in the Scablands of the Columbia Plateau.
Perhaps the most evident region of the flooding linked to the glacial outburst at Lake Missoula is the Scablands of the Columbia Plateau. Satellite observations of this landmark plateau in the Washington State reveal the massive Earth scars left behind following this cataclysmic event. Bretz's theory of Lake Missoula being the source of the Spokane floods and creator of the Scablands was not vindicated until the 1970's, after research relating to open channel hydraulics was done which provided evidence supporting his hypothesis.
The most distinct feature of the Scablands is a series of canyon sized tracts, a definition reminiscent of the waves which eroded and sculpted the landscape. The forceful currents of the flood caused vortexes of water called kolks which formed large potholes due to the scouring and removal of the bedrock. Glacial erratic's litter the landscape which were transported by glaciers and deposited with foreign sediments.
In December of 1923, the Journal of Geology published a paper called 'The Channeled Scablands of the Columbia Plateau' which was authored by Bretz, outlining his theories and providing a summary of his findings. Calling the event a debacle, he wrote that, “Fully 3,000 square miles of the Columbia plateau were swept by the glacial flood, and the loess and silt cover removed. More than 2,000 square miles of this area were left as bare, eroded, rock-cut channel floors, now the scablands, and nearly 1,000 square miles carry gravel deposits derived from the eroded basalt”.
As Bretz was connecting the dots and the sheer scope and magnitude of the flood became clearer, he concluded that this was very likely the largest flooding event ever witnessed on the Earth. In a comparison statement he wrote that, "Not River Warren, nor the Chicago outlet, not the Mowhawk channel, nor even Niagara Falls and Gorge itself approach the proportions of some of these scabland tracts and their canyons. From one of these canyons alone [Upper Grand Coulee] 10 cubic miles of basalt was eroded by its glacial stream”.
Commenting on this journey of discovery, his biographer John Soennichsen noted that “while hiking through the hot, dry, ragged world of the Scablands, everything he had seen pointed not to a slow, uniform change over time but to a catastrophe, a sudden release of colossal quantities of water that had quickly washed away the loessial topsoil and then carved deeply into the basalt rock beneath.” Although it is believed that this outburst took place rather quickly, it was not an isolated event and if the source of this flooding was the release of a glacial dam, something had to have triggered it.
It is to my belief that the Missoula floods were part of a larger event that occurred during this specific time period in our history, being a cog in the wheel or jigsaw piece to a puzzle forming a more complete picture. This series of events took place within the time of the Younger Dryas period in a much more devastating flood and cluster of Earth disasters than those evidenced around 3000 BC, and the time of the deluge in the region Mesopotamia.
Although this was a catastrophe of serious magnitude, other events took place within the same timeframe which supports the evidence that a series of disasters took place during the Younger Dryas period. Some of these catastrophes took place very quickly while others unfolded over a longer span of time. Evidence of a gradual increase of Earth's temperatures melting the ice sheets is a good example of this slow process, but other devastating events took place within this exact transition period such as the formation of the Carolina Bays.
CAROLINA BAYS
As we have discussed in previous chapters, it seems like the Earth entered a period of cataclysmic destruction during the Younger Dryas which emerged in various forms. I believe that the warming period was a result of the Earth's positioning being closer to the sun, but as this was taking place it appears that we were also being bombarded with objects from space. These impacts could have caused fracturing of the ice sheets leading to a chain reaction of events which included the massive flooding and changes within the geomorphology of the affected areas.
This segment could have been included in the previous chapters relating to the Younger Dryas period or the NEO World Order chapter as it involves the possibility of impacts from incoming celestial objects. The Carolina Bays is another feature of American geology which after observing satellite images or using Google Earth, seems to clearly show what looks like an incredible amount of impact craters spread over a large geographic area. It is generally accepted that these formations were created during the Younger Dryas and may have played a role in what caused the outburst of Glacial Lake Missoula.
A quick view using Google Earth clearly shows what appears to be a clustered series of impact craters scattered along the eastern coastal regions of the United States. Although the exact number has yet to be confirmed or agreed upon, researchers estimate that around 500,000 of these formations are present in the areas of New York, Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, North and South Carolina, Georgia and the northern region of Florida forming what we refer to as the Carolina Bays.
These craters are circular and elliptical depressions along the Atlantic Coastal Plain which includes the Maryland Basins, the Delmarva Bays in the Delmarva Peninsula, and sites reaching as far as the Nebraska Water Basins all the way in the Midwest. It is believed that a massive comet was the agent for these formations, and after disintegrating into numerous pieces impacted the North American ice cap in what has been referred to as a scatter-gun effect. Some of these fragments were very large in size, ranging from dust to smaller boulder sized objects and at least four of them being over a kilometer in diameter.
A majority of these objects had an east to west trajectory and impacted North America, and some believe that around 40,000 of these fragments appear in a concentrated area of the Southeast, in Florida and Virginia alone. However, based on trajectories and other information it is likely that some of these fragments were aloft long enough to travel across the Atlantic Ocean and impact the ice cap in northern Europe as well. In fact, additional impacts have been traced all the way eastward to at least Syria. It is likely that additional research into this area will reveal and confirm other key elements of this event over time.
Just as we have seen with the research efforts relating to the Younger Dryas and Scablands aspect, the Carolina Bays Impact scenario has also been met with opposition from the mainstream, despite the clear visual evidence from satellite images to support it. One of the leading proponents of the impact scenario is Antonio Zamora, who wrote a book on his geomorphology model titled 'Solving the Mystery of the Carolina Bays'. Zamora believes that these regions containing similar overlapping geometrical elliptical depressions are the sites of secondary impacts caused by the ejecta being dispersed following the initial primary impact on the North American ice cap. He claims that it is “necessary to consider that they formed contemporaneously with the Carolina Bays by the same mechanisms”.
The current mainstream explanation for these formations is that they are the result of water processes and terrestrial winds, however the radial orientation of these sites seems to indicate that there is a convergence point somewhere in the area of Michigan and the Great Lakes. Perhaps it should be considered that the primary impact zone of the ice cap actually created the Great Lakes, which would explain the vast amount of mineral deposits around this area. The boulders of ice and rock from the Laurentide Ice Sheet were ejected after an extraterrestrial impact during the Pleistocene.
The experimental model proposed by Zamora demonstrates that, “oblique impacts on viscous surfaces can reproducibly create inclined conical cavities that are remodeled into shallow elliptical depressions by viscous relaxation. This makes it possible to model the Carolina Bays and Nebraska Rainwater Basins as conic sections whose width-to-length ratio can be explained by the angle of impact”. Zamora explained this model by saying, “Unlike the eolian and lacustrine hypotheses of bay formation that cannot be tested, the impact hypothesis uses mathematics and a physical model that can be used to demonstrate stratigraphic restoration by viscous relaxation and the remodeling of conical impact cavities on viscous media”.
According to Zamora, this was an extinction level event which caused considerable atmospheric and terrain changes to the Earth, and as a result many regions became inhospitable for many years. A fog of ice crystals formed in the atmosphere increased Earth's albedo which blocked the light of the sun, bringing forth the onset of a temporary global cooling period. Fitting it into the timeline he believes that “This combination of conditions is best met by the disappearance of the North American megafauna, the end of the Clovis culture and the onset of the Younger Dryas cooling event at 12,800 cal. BP. The report of a platinum anomaly typical of extraterrestrial impacts at the Younger Dryas Boundary supports this scenario”.
Although this was not a total global extinction, it would have destroyed any creatures or plant life living within the impact zones and anywhere caught in the path of the ejecta, much of it remaining dormant frozen under the ice and ejecta blanket. This would have caused a chain reaction in the ecosystem and as Zamora explains, “Grazing animals that had survived the glacier ice bombardment had no access to their normal food sources and would soon starve...Eventually, North America would be repopulated by new land animals and new humans, but the megafauna, and the ingenious Clovis people that had crafted such fine stone projectiles were gone forever”.
RE-CURRENTS
Ongoing efforts relating to archaeological and geological studies indicate that there is a quest to find the answers, and as a result our understanding of the Earth and the human story has become more clear. With the advancement of technology and honest research efforts, we have witnessed a growing inability of the gatekeepers to keep a lid on the truth and deny the facts about our ancient past.
As mentioned in previous chapters and based upon my own observations, it seems that these flooding events took place during very specific periods of time in our geological history. It would appear that when the Earth experiences periods of increased natural disasters and cataclysms, dramatic climate changes and flooding events, it always seems to take place in parallel with solar changes and anomalies, planetary alignments and eclipses, and cluster events of asteroids, meteors and cometary objects and key geopolitical and human events.
I believe that we are currently experiencing a similar period of Earth changes, and the sudden escalation of space programs and increased urgency to develop new technologies to “explore” the cosmos is an indicator that the rulers of our world are well aware of this. Perhaps the ideas proposed in the past were so openly opposed and ridiculed for reasons of national security in an attempt to avoid causing fear and public panic. These elements seem to take place in a cyclical fashion, and so it can only be assumed that we will inevitably be met with similar disasters and challenges in our future.
In light of our investigation thus far, I have wondered if our self-awareness is reaching the tipping point in where we are beginning to become unruly, and our “gods” or leaders will want to being the cycle over again. Could our world leaders be following a plan to repeat the events described in Genesis? To fulfill prophecy, could floods such as the ones in Louisiana and Japan, as well as massive earthquakes have been done intentionally using destructive weather technology in order to bring about another global apocalypse in a sort of modern deluge epic?
While an intentional targeted attempt can be argued, what cannot be argued is the fact that our ancestors spoke of a time of great catastrophe, and as we have searched for the evidence to support these flood myths the evidence has been actually found. These events seem cyclical, through ice ages and planetary alignments, asteroid impacts and solar events, natural disasters and a disruption to human civilization. These extinction periods seem to be followed by a restarting of civilization such as what seems to have taken place around 3000 BC and during the Younger Dryas.
Many people believe that prior to the “Great Flood”, there was a technologically advanced society that existed on the Earth called Atlantis, and in a similar way it was destroyed by a cataclysmic event or flood which caused a restart in humanity. Expanding on this, many people believe that there have been several societies that once existed on the Earth, that mysteriously vanished from history such as the lost continents of Mu and Lemuria.
Many people throughout history have written about these long-lost civilizations and even to this day, people continue to search for the evidence of their existence.
