"This unique complex of debris is undoubtedly the greatest collision hazard facing the Earth at the present time"
-Donald Kessler (NASA Astrophysicist)

For millennia, human beings have been fascinated with the cosmos, trying to explain to the best of their abilities the significance of celestial events that have been witnessed and documented. This journey of discovery can be traced back to the very first known civilizations all the way up until modern times. Even with all of the modern astronomical advances in technology and analysis, we are still learning new things every day and do not quite fully understand the complexities of the vast universe that exists outside of our planet.
What we can say with certainty is that the Earth has experienced many "impact intervals", specific periods of time when there were increased incoming objects that collided with the Earth creating the many craters which we have previously investigated. In fact, astronomers discover new “Near Earth Objects” or NEO's every single day. The majority of these celestial objects are said to be harmless, however there are still many of these objects that pose a threat and are particularly concerning.
A great number of the asteroids we currently know about are contained orbiting within the Asteroid Belt, which is a series of debris rings found between the orbiting planets of Mars and Jupiter. There are currently over 600,000 asteroids that are known within our solar system and as mentioned, more are discovered each day, adding to the ever-growing catalogue of identified NEO's. The more recent discovery of 3I/Atlas has reminded us of the crucial importance to monitor these objects and escalated a global concern for potential catastrophes in the future.
Many of the known objects are orbiting debris that crossed paths with the orbit of our own planet at various intervals in the past. Eventually these orbits aligned causing a collision and wreaking havoc upon the Earth, shaping what we see today. It is due to these orbital patterns that we have somewhat of a fair warning to future catastrophic events, however this science only works with the astral bodies that have been identified and catalogued, following an orbit or transit pattern that we are currently aware of. It is the unpredictable ones that have astronomers and governments all over the globe concerned, especially in more recent years.
There is absolute reason for concern in this aspect, however it seems that the concern is also being used as a means to put the world under a single global threat that is beyond our control. This agenda is pushing us closer to a singular governing body, with a one world government, military, and space program set out and controlled by the United Nations. The progress for this plan is already well under way and in the last couple of years, any and all countries with able space programs have been launching into space in urgency. There is much going on and discussed behind closed doors that we do not know about.
What seems strange to me is the fact that despite all of the evidence supporting the existence of NEO's and impact events on the Earth, concepts like the Younger Dryas Impact are still widely debated and refuted. Where there is smoke there is fire, and there must be a reason for the obvious resistance relating to these matters. To put it right out there, I believe this is being done to hide the secrets of human history on the planet in order to maintain the worldview that we are monkeys that evolved on the planet, and to deny us the truth of our cosmic origin as described to us by nearly all ancient civilizations of the past.
HISTORIC OBSERVATIONS
According to archeological evidence, the history of our observations of the cosmos can be linked as far back to the earliest known civilizations on the planet. It can be no coincidence that the earliest forms of communication left behind by our ancestors describe our link to the universe outside of this planet, and often the knowledge of these ancient civilizations have been reverse engineered so to speak, indicating that they were far more advanced than we are led to believe.
Megalithic sites spanning the globe reveal that throughout human history, our interest and ability to monitor the night sky and celestial objects has been of utmost importance. Nearly all religions share the similarity of using cosmic metaphors to explain our otherworldly origin. Could it be that the shooting star described in the bible was actually an incoming asteroid which led to a series of devastating events, resulting in the fragmentation of the first world of the Lemurians?
Despite all of the connections and evidence supporting our connection to the cosmos, the doctrine of the theory of evolution reigns supreme as we continue to observe the universe with curiosity. While our visions, knowledge, and understanding of the universe continues to expand we tend to ignore or refute the evidence found on our own planet in order to separate us from our cosmic connection and ancestry. It is now more important than ever to find out the truth of our past, in order to understand our place in the universe and be aware of what the future has in store.
The Earth Impact Database (EID) is overseen by the University of New Brunswick in Canada and has become the referee and decision maker when it comes to whether or not a crater is a crater. It is essentially their decision whether or not it is confirmed or unconfirmed. A great divide exists in this area, and it seems that many craters are not listed due to the EIDPSSC mandate of requiring the evidence to meet specific criteria in order to be supported in peer reviewed publications.
In other words, if the shoe doesn't fit then you're going home in the storm wearing nothing but your socks. Due to vigilant researchers and mounting evidence over time, craters that have been known for long periods of time sometimes eventually make it to the approval list, and I believe that we are now scheduled for at least a decade of deep realization and discovery in this regard.
It is traditionally taught that the first asteroid to be witness and documented was Ceres, which was sighted in 1801 by Giuseppe Piazzi. According to the Vulture Stone at the archaeological site of Göbekli Tepe in Turkey however, they beat Piazzi to this honorable deed by around 12,000 years. The Aborigines of Australia also described asteroids in their ancient depictions. The carvings on the historic Vulture Stone pillar seem to indicate that a meteor shower occurred around 11,000 years ago, right around the time of the Younger Dryas. Underground dwellings and caverns described as emergency bunker shelters have been discovered at the site indicating that these dwellings were sought out to seek refuge from a cosmic disaster.
If a culture that old, arguably the first developed civilization in the world, depicted meteors in their carvings than it was likely not put there as an imaginative sketch or doodle on stone. It was put there for a reason, or perhaps as a warning for future generations. It is to my belief that the people of Göbekli Tepe were well aware of the skies above and had a very real awareness and concern for a disaster event brought forth by the heavens. It is also a good possibility that these people witnessed one or more of these events during a time of continual asteroid activity, causing them to describe what they had witnessed upon the ancient stone pillar to let others know of their experience.
On April 3rd, 1950, Immanuel Velikovsky, a Russian independent scholar who helped found the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel published a well selling book called "Worlds in Collision". The book was particularly popular in Britain and the Commonwealth and became a best-seller in the United States. Although much of the proposed ideas contained in the work has since been proven and refuted by modern scientists, the book acted as a wakeup call to humanity, bringing the very real idea that the Earth could one day be hit with a massive collision.
Within the pages of Worlds in Collision, Velikovsky reinterpreted historical events and proposed that the planet Venus did not exist until more recent times. He believed about 3500 years ago, Venus grazed by the Earth after being ejected from Jupiter in the guise of a comet like object. Although he did not describe an actual collision, the idea got many people thinking and this worry aided to the development of later asteroid hunting programs.
According to the traditional timeline of asteroid impacts on Earth, it appears there are periods of time when there are breaks or rests in impact events, while other periods of the timeline see an increase. A great number of these events took place millions of years ago, around the 400-to-200-million-year range, many of which shaped the face of the Earth as we know it today. According to some scientists, these events may have actually seeded the planet with various life forms. It seems from the record that there has been less and less impacts as time goes on and increases and decreases come in waves. Indeed, there are only a handful of "Younger Craters" known upon the Earth.
This could be indicative of intervals when our planet is more apt to being the target of cosmic debris. There have only been a handful of medium to serious sized impacts on Earth in the last 500 years or so, and perhaps even going back further than that. However, it appears our luck may have run out, and we are entering into a new increase of possible impact events. This may be due to the fact that we are better equipped now and can actually identify and spot the NEO's that pose a threat, or it may just be that we are in for some rough seas ahead. Identifying these objects and understanding their orbit patterns is crucial. One cannot imagine what the Earth would be like after a consecutive series of asteroid hits spanning over a 200-million-year time period.
While it is proposed that shooting stars are simply small sized meteors that burn up in the atmosphere and are generally harmless, posing little to no threat to the Earth, the continual discovery of new objects and meteor streams by astronomers such as the Leonids, Perseids, and Andromedids seems to indicate otherwise.
ASTEROID HUNTERS
At the time of the turn of the century and new millennium, in the year 2000, Australian engineer Michael Paine announced that based off of a computer simulation analysis of asteroid impacts, during the next 10,000 years cosmic collisions could end up killing 13 million people which in turn would cause global devastation, famines, wars and political unrest.
Of particular concern was shoreline devastation caused by tsunamis as a result of splash downs, as about 70% of our planet is covered with ocean. Through the analysis, it was determined that an average tsunami of this magnitude would cause the deaths of around 470,000 people. The chances of this happening according to the annual risk analysis was about 1 in 90, in which an average of about 120,000 people would die per cataclysmic event.
The most disturbing detail of the results was a 5-kilometer-wide asteroid with enough power to decimate the entire human population, exploding with the power of 23 million megatons. This scenario was determined unlikely to occur within a 100,000-year time span however as evidenced with the Shoemaker-Levy 9 comet, anything can happen.
Also in the year 2000, NASA's Near-Earth Asteroid Tracking System released data relating to large asteroids in space. According to Yale University's David Rabinowitz, "Until now, scientists thought the population of large, near-Earth asteroids was between 1,000 and 2,000, but we've downgraded that number significantly...We now believe there are between 500 and 1,000 near-Earth asteroids larger than one kilometer in diameter." In fact, some asteroids have been observed to be up to 1000 km in diameter.
Despite the threat being less than originally proposed, 500 to 1000 large asteroids near the Earth are certainly a threatening concern, especially when one adds to the equation the unknowns and variables of chance associated with this doomsday scenario. If there was no concern or threat, we would not be watching the sky so closely and asteroid hunters would not have a need to exist. The threat of a potential impact is definitely played down, and it is often said the majority of these NEO's are harmless, but in the not-so-distant past we have had some really close calls.
On July 24th and 25th in 2019, an object from the Apollo 1862 class by the name of Asteroid 2019 OK came closer to the Earth than our own Moon, missing the planet by a mere 45,000 miles. These asteroids have an orbit larger than the Earth's around the sun, and this event was the closest Asteroid 2019 OK is expected to be from the Earth for the next 200 years or so. Keep in mind this is just an estimate, and this asteroid got its name due to its sudden and unexpected discovery the day before it flew by the Earth at a speed of around 88,500 kilometers per hour.
Another near miss took place almost exactly a year later, in August of 2020. According to NASA, this object was the closest flyby on record and is believed to have broken up into a fireball in the Earth's atmosphere above the southern Indian Ocean. Identified as Asteroid 2020 QG, this space rock was approximately 10 to 20 feet across but despite its relatively small size, it passed just 1,830 miles above the Indian Ocean at around 44,400 kilometers per hour. This was the closest known asteroid to fly near the Earth without making an impact on the planet.
Although we have teams of asteroid hunters working at observatories and space programs like NASA that are dedicated to tracking near earth objects, sometimes they are identified by accident or through surprise discoveries like in the case of Asteroid 2019 OK. These objects travel at such high velocities that if one were to be discovered on a collision course with the Earth, it could very likely be too late for us to be able to do anything about it.
Asteroid hunters play an important role in the discovery and identification of these objects, and I for one am thankful that we at least have this early warning system comprised of dedicated scientists keeping an eye on the sky. In my opinion, the possibility of a devastating asteroid impact is one of the biggest threats facing our planet in these modern times. The reality of the situation is that it's not a question of if one will happen, but when will it happen.
KESSLER SYNDROME
In 1978, NASA astrophysicist Donald Kessler put forth the scenario that due to the increasing density of Low Earth Objects (LEO's) such as satellites, rocket stages, and space debris around the planet, the risk for a collision of these objects escalates the potential of a chain reaction which could pose a threat to our safety on the Earth. This so called “theory” has been referred to as the Kessler Syndrome and describes the outcome of space eventually becoming unusable due to the volume of fragmented debris and “space junk” floating around the planet.
Kessler became concerned after he noticed an increase in space launches and satellites being put into space by a growing number of countries, leading him to the obvious conclusion that these objects could one day collide with one another. Essentially, the more objects being put into space, the more this threat escalates until our ability to control the situation becomes futile and out of our control. This led to the development of many tracking programs and methods in deterring this from happening, which continues to be an area of concern even to this day.
Despite the risks involved, we have seen a continued escalation of objects being put into space from countries all over the world. While these objects are generally being tracked after they are put into space, thousands of satellites have been launched which only adds to the density of LEO's. When collisions occur, the result is a single object fragmenting into thousands of pieces which then adds to the debris as well as the risk of further collisions. This sequence of events is unavoidable, and the creation of additional debris leads to the exponential growth of fragments in a self-sustaining cycle of unstoppable chain reactions.
Efforts have been made to remove some of the unwanted debris from the “cloud” of LEO's, including new laws and programs to manage space traffic and applying deorbiting capabilities on newer satellite technology, however the risk of reaching the Kessler “tipping point” is still a concern of many space programs around the world. In many instances, it becomes the case of too little too late when learning from our mistakes, and we see that it is harder to maintain control over the situation.
While it is true that we can now moderately control what we put into space and our tracking capabilities and technologies have come a long way since the Keppler Effect was proposed, what remains largely out of our control is the non-human NEO's that exist in the environment outside of our planet.
TAURID METEOR STREAM
One of the more well-known debris fields we are currently aware of is known as the Taurid Meteor Stream, which is sometimes referred to as the Taurid Complex. This meteoroid stream is the largest one within our inner solar system, spread out across space at a distance of over 30 million kilometers wide. As it moves along its orbital path, it travels the distance of around 2.5 million kilometers each and every day.
While there is no generally agreed upon date of when the Taurid stream was created, it is estimated that it formed around 10,000 to 30,000 years ago, putting it right within the timeline of the Younger Dryas period. This has led many researchers to propose that the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis (YDIH) could very well be related to this celestial event. While this connection is debated and often opposed by scientists and the academic world, it certainly remains as a plausible scenario as to what happened around 12,800 years ago.
Despite any disagreements relating to the YDIH, what is mostly agreed upon is the details explaining how the Taurid Stream came to be. It is commonly believed that this large swarm of debris was created thousands of years ago following the breakup of Comet 2P/Encke, a massive progenitor comet that fragmented apart, leaving a trail of debris in our solar system. It is estimated that Comet Encke was approximately 40 km in diameter, making it the parent body of the debris stream which orbits the sun every 3.3 years. This comet was first discovered by astronomers in 1876.
As the debris field of Comet Encke approaches the sun, the frozen fragments are heated up causing the ice to sublimate into gas which then releases a large stream of dust, pebbles and rock fragments into its orbital path. As this process occurs, the effects are visible on Earth, taking the form of meteor showers as the large number of fragments burn up in our atmosphere.
Our Earth passes through the Taurid Stream twice a year, which can be seen for around two weeks at the end of June as well as around two weeks during the transition into winter, in late October and early November. The second occurrence of this annual celestial event is often referred to as “Halloween Fireballs” or “Halloween Fireworks” and appear as shooting stars in the night sky.
Every once in awhile the Earth passes through a denser field of debris from Comet Encke which is influenced in part by Jupiter's gravity. When this occurs, larger pieces of the cometary debris heightens the concern for a potential impact of NEO's. This is referred to as “Swarm Years”, and major surges have taken place as recently as 2008, 2015, 2022, and 2025. The next predicted increase of these fireballs is expected to take place in 2032, with a follow up swarm year of enhanced risk in 2036.
Astronomers Victor Clube and Bill Napier have studied the cosmic activity of Comet Encke and published “The Cosmic Serpent” and “The Cosmic Winter”, two influential books relating to the subject of the Taurid Stream. According to their research, they believe that there are likely companion comets orbiting amidst the cloud at the heart of the Taurid meteor stream. In addition to Comet Encke, they believe that “there are at least two other comets in the stream – Rudnicki, also thought to be about five kilometers in diameter, and a mysterious object named Oljato, which has a diameter of about 1.5 kilometers”. Aside from these, they believe that there is between one and two hundred asteroids larger than a kilometer in diameter within the stream.
Some calculations have led researchers to indicate the possibility of there being much larger fragments accompanying the parent bodies in the Taurid stream, possibly being as large as 30 kilometers in diameter. While the Taurid stream contains trillions of harmless dust-sized particles that appear as shooting stars when they burn up in Earth's atmosphere, there are also much larger fragments shrouded within the dust travelling through space at high velocities that pose a risk if they were to enter our atmosphere during an intersection with our Earth.
Professor Emilio Spedicato from the University of Bergamo predicts that “in the near future (around the year 2030) the Earth will cross again that part of [the Taurid meteor stream] that contains the fragments, an encounter that in the past has dramatically affected mankind.” This prediction falls nearly perfectly in line within the next expected Taurid swarm year.
One question that seems to remain unanswered is what caused Comet Encke to breakup and form the Taurid field in the first place? In relation to this, if the collision took place thousands of years ago then ancient civilizations would have observed the stream and therefore it was not first discovered in 1876. If Comet Encke was only around 40 km in diameter to begin with, it seems likely that over the centuries these fragments would have long burned up, putting an end to the cycle.
It seems likely that because this phenomenon has been witnessed for thousands of years, it could have originally been an object the size of a planet that broke apart in the distant past. If this is the case, then what we are actually witnessing is the fragments of a lost planet that once existed. Being so close to the Earth and our inner solar system, perhaps this planet was able to support life, or perhaps was the place where life on Earth originated and came from.
To summarize on this, Clube and Napier stated that “It seems clear that we are looking at the debris from the breakup of an extremely large object. The disintegration, or sequence of disintegrations, must have taken place within the last twenty or thirty thousand years, as otherwise the asteroids would have spread around the inner planetary system and be no longer recognizable as a stream.”
CHICXULUB WAKE UP CALL
It is commonly believed that a majority of the known impact craters on the surface of Earth were created millions of years ago with collisions happening less frequently into modern times. One would think that a public and scientific concern about a possible future catastrophic event would have occurred much sooner than in the 1980's, when studies into these possibilities came about after the root of the cause of the extinction at the end of the Cretaceous period was discovered.
In 1978, geophysicists Glenn Penfield and Antonio Carmago-Zanoguera were searching for petroleum for the Mexican national drilling company PEMEX. During their search for potential drilling sites in the Gulf of Mexico, they accidentally discovered what appeared to be a massive impact crater in the Yucatan Peninsula. Although cores and breccia samples were taken from the area prior to this were thought to be of volcanic origin, they noticed a massive semicircular ring which had a high gravity field at the center of it which led the team to propose that they had actually discovered a massive impact crater.
At first the idea was generally opposed, until further evidence came to surface by the famous Nobel physicist Luis Alvarez and his geologist son Walter in 1980. They had discovered iridium layers dating back to around 65 million years ago at the site, which is a rare element on Earth and found most commonly in meteors. This discovery added weight supporting that the location in the Yucatan Peninsula was actually indeed an impact crater. The research and theories of this family collaboration became known as the “Alvarez Hypothesis” which suggested that a massive asteroid collided with the Earth causing a global catastrophe which led to the extinction of the dinosaurs.
Due to its location, situated near the modern town of Chicxulub Puerta in the ancient Mesoamerican land in the Yucatan Peninsula, the impact site was named the Chicxulub Crater. This 180-kilometer crater was created after a giant asteroid twice the size of Mount Everest, between 10 to 20 kilometers wide, struck down into an anhydrite bed composed of CaSO4 or gypsum, and CaSO4·2 (H2O)). The velocity of the impact was around 50,000 kilometers per hour, containing 40 billion times the energy of an atomic bomb. To put it into perspective, in the words of geophysicist Mario Rebolledo, “it would have been a pleasant day one second and the world was already over by the next”.
Evidence for this has been located all over the coast of the Caribbean and as far as the shorelines of the United States. This includes marine sand that was found in locations which were previously inland, as well as debris from vegetation and terrestrial rocks found in marine sediments that have been dated to the time of the asteroid. The impact also caused a series of tsunamis which circled the globe, with the main mega-tsunami creating a wall of water which reached approximately 330 feet tall and stretched from the Yucatan Peninsula all the way to the coasts of Texas and Florida.
The Alvarez team proposed that this event alone is what caused the dinosaurs to became extinct. The environmental destruction caused by the ejecta raining down sparked continental firestorms, increased volcanic activity, and the creation of a fog consisting of soot and dust clouds which blocked out the sun and led to the eventual cooling of the planet, referred to as an “impact winter”. This impact winter is believed to have lasted around a decade, resulting in a chain reaction of events and harsh living conditions which led to the death of around 70% of all life forms on the planet.
The ejecta blanket and iridium layer has been documented all over the world. This massive collision caused the ejection of vast amounts of sulfur trioxide, composed of SO3, and when it combined with water produced an aerosol of sulfuric acid. This acidic rain was responsible for killing plants, marine vegetation, plankton, and creatures which build their shells from calcium carbonate, like coccolithophorids and molluscs. The toxicity of the air was suffocating, making it hard for many species to survive the conditions of the catastrophe causing a breakdown in the food chain.
Scientists believe that many animals burrowed to protect themselves, and the species of mammals that survived the catastrophe took center stage, taking over the natural order of things on the planet as the dominant species. This sudden change evidenced in the record marked the end of the Cretaceous–Tertiary period and the beginning of the Cenozoic Era, which means the “era of new life”.
As we have reviewed, there have been much larger impacts on the Earth however the time frame that this impact is evidenced to have occurred within seems to be within a possible interval. Several impacts are noted during the 60-million-year time frame, as well as the 200-and-400-million-year time span which seems to indicate waves of impact periods.
CLUSTER EVENTS
Some researchers believe, including myself, that the Chicxulub asteroid was not the only extraterrestrial event during this time that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs. Indeed, a single impact event isolated to a specific area of the world seems difficult to believe to have caused such destruction of that magnitude all across the planet.
However, if we can find evidence to support a theory that there was a bombardment of extraterrestrial impacts occurring within this short period of time, it may better explain how such a massive extinction level event could have happened. While a large asteroid impact does cause devastating effects on a global scale, it seems probable that it could have actually been a multitude of impacts.
Several thousand years before the Chicxulub incident, a relatively small length of time in respect to the timeline, the Boltysh Crater, or Bovtyshka Crater was formed. The location of this impact is near the village of Bovtyshka in the Kirovohrad Oblast of Ukraine, and formed a crater 15 miles, or 24 kilometers in diameter. Based on argon dating tests, its age is of 65.17 ± 0.64 million years, fitting perfectly into the timeline of this possible series of impact events. The Silverpit Crater, which in my opinion could have formed the North Sea, has been estimated to be from between 66 to 45 million years ago, putting it within the same small-time frame of the Chicxulub and Boltysh impact sites.
Perhaps the most disputed crater adding to the evidence of a multitude of impacts is known as the Shiva Crater, formed about 300,000 years after the Chicxulub event, and located under the Arabian Sea near Bombay in India. Although the impact crater is not yet recognized officially by the Earth Impact Database of the Planetary and Space Science Centre at the University of New Brunswick, in Canada, there are many who believe that it may have been the finisher, the big one that finished off the dinosaurs.
The most vocal proponent to this theory is Sankar Chatterjee, a professor of Geosciences at Texas Tech University and the curator of paleontology at the Museum of Texas Tech University. He dubbed the crater Shiva, named after the Hindu god of destruction and renewal. "If we are correct," says Chatterjee, then "this is the largest crater known on Earth." The site indicates a comet or meteor slammed into Earth that was a whopping 25 miles, or 40 kilometers in diameter.
The impact zone, according to Chatterjee and colleagues, is approximately 370 miles or 600 kilometers long by about 250 miles or 400 kilometers wide and consists of the Bombay High and Surat Depression beneath the Indian continental shelf. Due to the sea floor spreading, the site of impact has shifted since its original formation. Chatterjee believes that the Shiva Crater was formed around the 65-million-year mark and was but a single impact out of several, stating in relation to the extinction event that "the K-T extinction was definitely a multiple-impact scenario."
Further explaining this extinction scenario, some researchers have concluded that because the Chicxulub impact happened earlier than the actual extinction of the dinosaurs, the impact of Shiva 300,000 years later would have sealed the deal. This event is speculated to have caused the emission of noxious gases from the Indian volcanoes which are known as Deccan Traps, a significant factor in the theory of the dinosaur's extinction due to an impact event, and the possibility of a multitude of events.
Other impacts that occurred that may have led to the buildup and extinction during this time was the Kara impact and the Manson impact, which occurred around 74 million years ago, perhaps the first in a series spanning every 8 to 10 million years or so.
A perfect example of this “clustering” can be seen if we take a look at the Middle Ordovician period, which saw an increase and abnormal series of meteorites falling to the Earth around 467.3 ± 1.6 million years ago. Evidence of this event has been documented in southern Sweden where clusters of L chondrite grains were found in sediments, as well as a quarry containing an excess of fossil L chondrite meteorites.
It is believed that the destruction of an L-chondrite parent body took place around 470 ± 6 million years ago, which scattered fragments that began to cross Earth's orbit. These fragments still fall to the Earth, and the shock ages of many of these L-chondrite meteorites have been studied which supports this scenario. This has led to the hypothesis that this event could have caused the Great Ordovician Biodiversification Event.
THE GREAT DYING
If we take a look into these historic records and what we currently know, there have been other significant impact events that took place prior to the 66-million-year timeframe and seems to happen in clusters or waves. Many of these have caused extreme global devastation and contributed to mass-extinction level events, indicating that this has happened numerous times in the past and is likely to happen again at some point in the future.
One of the five largest mass extinction events in history took place at the geological boundary of the Permian and Triassic periods, approximately 251.9 million years ago. Known as the Permian-Triassic Extinction Event, it is more commonly referred to as “The Great Dying” which saw the extinction of 90% of all species on Earth, causing the near destruction of all living things on the planet. The many details surrounding this event are largely debated, however it is widely believed that it was the result of an asteroid that collided with the Earth at some point around that time frame.
In a planetary science article entitled “Crater Row”, research relating to a series of five craters were reported in the popular geology journal Nature which was published on March 12th, 1998. Although these craters were previously known and studied prior, new discoveries and connections were being made in regard to the paleo alignment of these craters. Similar to the Ordovician Meteor Event, this chain of craters was formed after the breakup of a parent asteroid which collided with the Earth around 214 million years ago, putting it within close enough proximity to the timeframe of the Great Dying, leaving many researchers to believe that there could very well be a connection here.
Working with a team of geologists from Canada and the United Kingdom, famous geophysicist and Professor of Geophysical Science at the University of Chicago David Rowley reported that the five craters located in Europe and North America formed a chain with identical declination paths, indicating that they were likely connected to an impact that took place around 214 million years ago. They proposed that the larger fragments of this comet crashed into the Earth in three major groups over a short period of time, between several days or even as little as a few hours.
The North American impact sites formed craters located in Manicouagan and Saint Martin in Canada, and in Red Wing, Minnesota, and the European craters found in Rochechouart, France and in Obolon, Ukraine. The craters in Canada and in France share the same latitude of 22.8 degrees and form a chain of nearly 5000 kilometers. The craters in Minnesota and Ukraine had identical declination paths with the ones in Saint Martin and Rochechouart.
It could very well be that there were even more pieces that hit the Earth, however at that point in history most of the Earth was ocean at that latitude, and therefore these fragments could have formed ocean-bottom craters that no longer exist or have remained undiscovered. As I have mentioned in the chapter called “A New View of the Earth”, I strongly believe that there have been impacts and these massive craters formed the oceans and separated once connected continents.
According to Rowley, "When scientists observed the impacts of the pieces of Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 on Jupiter in July 1994, they said that the impact of a fragmented comet could never happen here on Earth because the gravitational field is too weak to break a comet into pieces." He reinforced this statement by saying “our studies of these five craters provide compelling evidence that this happened at least once, and there's no reason it couldn't have happened more than that."
A RECENT INFLUX
It is indeed strange that despite the evidence and acknowledgement of these past cataclysmic events, the issue is generally under-reported or discussed by the mainstream. This is likely due to avoid causing a widespread global panic, although the looming threat does seem to always be in the back of our minds. International space agencies and other similar groups do publish reports on these issues as well as take part in research efforts, but overall, it doesn't seem like the average citizen is too concerned about these things.
It can be no coincidence that nearly all ancient cultures around the world were obsessed with observing the stars and cosmic events. Civilizations of the past have tried to warn us by leaving behind etched descriptions on their micro and megaliths, such as the famous Vulture Stone in Turkey and the hieroglyphs found in pyramids and structures around the world. Often these connections are shrugged off by the mainstream as being simply metaphors and stories with no truth to them, but we are constantly finding more evidence whenever we look to the past for the answers to these important questions.
In the past, they had no news services, printing press, or the internet to communicate the way we do today. Despite this fact however, their method of relaying this information to us has lasted centuries and withstood the test of time, as though it was done on purpose knowing the importance to get this information out for future generations. It is truly a past, present and future connection done with urgent purpose and intent. Libraries and paper documents can be burned to ashes, and digital information can be erased with the single press of a button, but massive stone structures and the use of geometry, math and imagery is much harder to destroy.
When someone hears the term “Jersey Devil”, often the first thing that comes to their mind is the NHL team the New Jersey Devils. The origin of the teams name however actually comes from the mythological legend of a cryptid hominid known as the Jersey Devil or sometimes referred to as the Leeds Devil. According to the cryptozoological theory, this creature is said to have glowing red eyes and a long-forked tongue, ranging in size of between two and nine feet and can fly through the air like a bat with leathery wings. Tales, sightings, and reports of Jersey Devils have lasted from the 18th century up until the present day.
To put this legend into context, it is said that this cryptid hominid inhabits one of the many gateways to Hell called the “Blue Hole”. The Blue Hole is a very real place in the form of a lake which is located near Winslow in southern New Jersey. This lake contains crystal clear water, which is abnormally cold, averaging a temperature of around 14 degrees celsius all year round. Many drownings have been associated with the Blue Hole, and it is believed that it was formed by a prehistoric meteorite which formed a deep crater there. The Blue Hole is a great example of an asteroid crater being associated with folklore and legend and creating a new lake.
Getting back to what Professor Rowley stated, there is no reason for us to believe that these events could not have happened more often in the past, but what is perhaps more important is to understand that there is also no reason for us to believe that these events couldn't happen again in the future. As we continue to make discoveries about the history of our planet, our ability to monitor cosmic events has also increased and it seems more important than ever to be able to fully comprehend these things.
While it is true that there have been no significant impacts large enough to cause a massive global extinction in our immediate past, it has happened before and over the last few hundred years or so there is evidence to show that there have been some significant impacts and close calls. In fact, it seems apparent to me that we are actually seeing an increase in NEO's and flyby events which could indicate that we have already entered into another era of impact threats and bombardment currently unrecognized. 3I/Atlas is a perfect example of this, which was closely monitored and a widely reported cosmic event in recent memory.
In 1490, an asteroid broke apart overhead of the Chinese city of Ch'ing Yang, an event which has become known as the Chíing-Yang Meteor Shower. There are at least 3 reliable surviving accounts describing the event including the official History of the Ming Dynasty. These accounts describe an event which resulted in the deaths of more than 10,000 people. Although this was not enough to cause a major extinction, it was large enough to cause severe destruction and knowing that often these impacts occur in clusters, remains quite concerning.
In one of the surviving accounts, it reads: "Stones fell like rain in the Ch’ing-yang district. The larger ones were 4 to 5 catties (斤, about 1.5 kg), and the smaller ones were 2 to 3 catties (about 1 kg). Numerous stones rained in Ch'ing-yang. Their sizes were all different. The larger ones were like goose's eggs and the smaller ones were like water-chestnuts. More than 10,000 people were struck dead. All of the people in the city fled to other places."
A more recent and well known asteroid impact took place in Siberia on June 30th, 1908, which has become known as the Tunguska Event. The Tunguska Asteroid is estimated to have been around 50 meters in diameter and exploded above Siberia with an equal amount of energy as 40 million tons of TNT. The impact of the asteroid devastated an area of 2,137 square kilometers which destroyed the forest in the area and killed around 1000 reindeer.
At the time of impact there were no cities or communities in the area and so there were no human casualties, however if a similar event were to happen today it would be a much different story. Many people believe that the great San Francisco earthquake in 1906 might have some connection to the Tunguska event. It seems many anomalies occurred within this short time period, so it may have been part of a cluster event.
Supporting my theory of impacts creating the bodies of water found around the Earth, an Italian team of researchers recently concluded that a nearby lake called Lake Cheko is the actual impact site of the Tunguska event. Following the events of the Tunguska impact, June 30th has since been referred to as “Asteroid Day” in order to bring awareness to the threat of future impacts and to stress the importance of studying and discussing the aspects of these phenomena.
THE GREAT COMET OF 1811
Patterns of repetition are often used by researchers to identify traits and qualities about a subject, using these repeated anomalies as a tool to figure out the unknowns and fill in the blanks. It can at least point them in the right direction to identify specific areas to focus their research efforts on. One of these patterns is the apparent connection of comets and celestial events with times of war and plague, and an increase in extreme weather changes and catastrophic natural disasters during these times. These things which affect the planet and humanity seem to accelerate whenever there are objects in the sky and lots of space events taking place.
Nearly 100 years before the Tunguska event, a significant cosmic anomaly took place is known as “The Great Comet of 1811”, which was formally catalogued as C/1811 F1. This comet held the record for being the longest visible comet to be observed with the naked eye, as people witnessed this object in the night sky for around 260 days. The coma of this comet is believed to have been over 1 million miles across, approximately fifty percent larger than the Sun. Its large coma was most visible in October of 1811, with an apparent magnitude of 0.0. The 1811 comet held this record until 1997 with the appearance of the Hale-Bopp Comet.
The Great Comet of 1811 is said to have been the influence for Jules Verne's meteor book, as this was a major cosmic event for its time which had the world on edge. The chain of events which took place had many people all over the world believing that the end of the world was upon them, as wars, plague, earthquakes, natural disasters and Earth anomalies erupted all around the world and was unlike anything anyone had ever witnessed before in human history. The presence of this massive object for such a long period of time changed the course of history and remains a topic of debate within many academic circles. This is because things just don't add up to what we are told the official story is.
Within the small-time frame of 1810 to 1816, the world was riddled with catastrophe. The War of 1812 broke out, which saw the continued genocide of the Native Americans and the theft of their land, and a global war that was changing territories and shaping nation states closer to what we see today. The Shawnee chief Tecumseh, whose name means “Shooting Star” or “Panther Across the Sky” and his brother Prophet are often associated with this comet, as it is often referred to as “Tecumseh's Comet” or “Napoleon's Comet”. It is said that the curse of Tecumseh is what brought forth the comet and the associated disasters it brought with it.
At the same time these global political events were occurring, the comet was brightly visible in the sky bringing further chaos in the form of earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions and a general period of concentrated turmoil across the entire planet. One of the major events to take place at this time were the New Madrid Earthquakes, which happened at the exact location and time period of the wars that were breaking out. The Madrid Earthquakes were the largest ever recorded in North America, and around 2000 earthquakes were reported in this small area of the United States during the presence of this comet.
It is traditionally taught that these earthquakes were naturally occurring, a fluke catastrophe with little to no relation to the comet however the evidence of patterns and connections just can't be ignored here. It seems pretty obvious to me that the anomalies surrounding the Madrid earthquake are directly related and were likely caused by impacts that took place in the area of the Mississippi and the middle to eastern parts of the United States. The Great Comet of 1811 is often ignored, and we are taught misunderstood science and false history in our curriculums.
Details of the events which took place parallel that of which occurred during the Younger Dryas period, and this sungrazer comet seems to have produced a serial impact which caused a mini-ice age between the years of 1811 to 1817, including the “year without a summer” in 1816 and the eruption of Mount Tambora. In total, several main earthquakes took place including the first at the end of 1811 and four more in 1812, although an unrelated one took place in 1810. Another major earthquake happened at the exact same time at the end of 1811, in Caracas Venezuela, in which thousands of people were killed. Once again, it seems like a cluster event took place relating to the arrival of the Great Comet. Currently however, the mainstream claims that all these events are unrelated.
At 2:15 a.m. on December 16th, 1811, residents of New Madrid, which is now modern-day Missouri, were shook from their beds by a massive violent explosion and earthquake. It measured a magnitude of 8.1 on the Richter scale, making it one of the largest American earthquakes ever to be recorded. The massive rumbling was felt all across the eastern United States, causing church bells to ring all the way in Boston, which was 1500 miles away. As mentioned previously, in December of 1811 a massive earthquake also hit Venezuela adding to the global panic.
This initial impact was just the beginning of the nightmare, as several aftershocks occurred along with eyewitness accounts describing several massive explosions. The area filled with darkness as plumes of dust and smoke blocked out the sky and the smell of sulphur was in the air. Many people believed the end of the world was happening and hid for long periods of time, some even hiding for over a year. The devastation which followed affected everyone in the area, from the native tribes to the settlers and even the military units in the impacted area.
The second major impact took place on January 23rd, 1812, and measured 7.8 on the Richter scale, which was followed by a third incident on February 7th, 1812, at a magnitude of as much as 8.8, making this the largest recorded earthquake in American history. Many anomalies and disasters surrounded these initial events adding to a prolonged period of chaos and destruction on a massive scale. The details of what took place during this time does not fit the traditional description of what happens during and after an earthquake.
The February incident in 1812 actually caused mud floods and a fluvial tsunami, with walls of water as high as 40 feet coming from the Mississippi River, causing the river to actually flow backwards for several hours. Reports of the riverbed rising to the surface exposing ancient animal bones and sunken timber are numerous, as many sailors found themselves suddenly beached on the banks of the Mississippi. New lakes were suddenly formed, and portions of towns were swallowed up into the Earth never to be seen again.
Firmin La Roche was a sailor and living eyewitness to the event, and described what he lived through in chilling detail. In a CERI document on the University of Memphis website containing a compendium of New Madrid eyewitness accounts, he reported that he was “awakened by a crash like thunder, and the boat turned upon its side...It was very dark then...In a moment so great a wave came up the river that I never seen one like it at sea. It carried us back north, up-stream, for more than a mile, and the water spread out upon the banks, even covering maybe three or four miles inland. It was the current going backward.”
After the explosions and violent tremors, ejecta of coal and petroleum rained down from the sky creating a scene many described as apocalyptic. 2000-year-old artifacts were ejected, and debris suddenly rose to the surface of the river in certain areas. Bright objects were observed to be glowing from within many holes, pits and fissures that were formed known as “quartz lights”, or the piezoelectric effect, in where electrical charges are activated in seismic waves within quartz crystals. However, this could have actually been the debris from asteroids burning or smoldering deep within the Earth where they impacted.
Satellite views, geographic and geological records, historical eyewitness accounts and analytical data relating to impactites have since been used in studies which support the theory that these were not simply natural earthquake events but were most likely caused by a series of asteroid impacts. Massive swells raised from the surface seem to resemble bullet holes with a clearly visible entry point in the center. These are known as “sand blows” that range in size, with some being 16 feet deep and 64 feet in diameter.
After an investigation was done to study the formation of the Mississippi embankment and shockwave patterns were analyzed throughout the upper lithosphere, researchers believed they had located the latter two impact sites with evidence supporting that the actual cause of the New Madrid earthquakes during 1811 and 1812 were caused by the impact of C/1811 F1 hitting the Earth in the area of northeastern Marshall County in Mississippi.
In the words of Firmin La Roche, he claimed that "Everywhere there was noise like thunder, and the ground was shaking the trees down, and the air was thick with something like smoke. There was much lightning. We believed we must surely die." If the air was thick with smoke, then this would have been more likely caused by the asteroids burning up before impact as opposed to smoke coming from an earthquake. It seems like the evidence speaks for itself yet is disregarded or ignored by the mainstream.
69230 HERMES
On October 28th, 1937, a close-call event took place as the binary asteroid known as 69230 Hermes passed by the Earth, coming as close as 74,2000 kilometers. This is about twice the distance of the moon; however, the object did a flyby without making contact with our planet. Astronomer Karl Reinmuth of Heidelberg noticed the object in a picture of the night sky he had just taken, which was a bright object of about the 9th magnitude of a star.
The object appeared as a bright light in the sky and moved so fast that Reinmuth named it Hermes. The large asteroid was a sub-kilometer sized object and would have caused mass destruction upon the Earth. Despite Hermes being smaller than the impact event that wiped out the dinosaurs, it would have been the most destructive cosmic collision in modern history, killing millions of people and causing major changes in global temperatures and weather behavior.
The fact of the matter is, Hermes loves the Earth and the month of October, and has come harrowingly close in the years 1937, 1942, 1954, 1974 and 1986. Converted, that's 5 years, 12 years, 10 years, and 12 years apart. It seems as though it is getting father away from the Earth in this way, however every 777 days it approaches Earth's orbit twice. These frequent returns of Hermes were not known until October 15th, 2003, when Lowell Observatory astronomer Brian Skiff re-discovered it. 69230 Hermes has been avidly watched ever since.
Orbit specialist Paul Chodas from NASA's JPL, or Jet Propulsion Lab said, "Hermes' orbit is the most chaotic of all near-Earth asteroids...It's a little unnerving...Hermes has sailed by Earth so many times and we didn't even know it." This seems to be the case for many NEO's, and although our ability to see these objects is getting better, we are still blinded by objects that are coming at us from the sun and sometimes we only become aware of objects when they are dangerously close.
In relation to Hermes, Chodas claims that we are safe for the time being however he noted, "Hermes won't approach Earth any closer than about 0.02 AU within the next hundred years." According to Chodas, "Astronomers of the day were somewhat biased, perhaps. They had convinced themselves that collisions were too rare to consider. Hermes didn't change their opinion because catastrophism was not in vogue."
Keeping a close eye on Hermes, a team of NASA supported astronomers which was led by Jean-Luc Margot of the UCLA used radar pulses to ping the asteroid, using Arecibo, a large antenna in Puerto Rico. It was then discovered that Hermes was a double asteroid, known as a binary asteroid with which two space rocks are orbiting one another. Each of these objects is about 400 meters across, facts discovered on its pass by Earth on November 4th, 2013.
SHOEMAKER-LEVY 9
The turning point for concern reached a threshold when between July 16th and 22nd, 1994, a massive yet small fragment of comet Shoemaker-Levy 9, formerly known as D/1993 F2, smashed into Jupiter's surface causing a massive extraterrestrial collision. This marked the first time in human history that an actual observation was made of an extraterrestrial cataclysm within our own solar system.
The story of comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 began in July 1992 when it broke apart, leading to the fragment being sent on a new trajectory with its final destination colliding on the surface of Jupiter. It was not until March 18th, 1993, that it was photographed at Mount Palomar by David Levy and Carolyn and Gene Shoemaker, using a 0.4-meter Schmidt telescope. Although it was observed and logged, no one could predict what happened next.
In July of 1994, while several astronomers had their eyes fixed on their telescopes, it finally collided with the planet Jupiter. "Shoemaker-Levy was a turning point," says Benny Peiser, an anthropologist at Liverpool John Moore's University. Peiser has presented computer simulation results dealing with asteroid impacts, stressing "If it can happen in front of your nose, practically in your backyard, it can also happen on Earth."
The damage zone on Jupiter has been estimated to be about the size of our planet Earth, giving you an idea of how devastating an astral collision can really be. This led to an increased level of concern, amplifying the importance and need to observe what is going on in the skies above in order to identify future threats to our planet.
According to David Levy, the comets co-discoverer, "More than anything else, this comet taught us about the role that impacts have played in the history of the solar system. Comets have been shown to contain the building blocks of life, particularly "CHON" particles — consisting of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen — that form the alphabet of life."
This is an important point in relation to the bigger picture of things, for these CHON particles essentially scientifically prove that life originated from elsewhere, and not from the Earth. This is a topic discussed in greater detail in the chapters dealing with the arguments and debate relating to creation versus evolution.
CHELYABINSK METEOR
It seems that over the last 30 years or so we have been getting an increase in potential threats and encounters with not only rogue but also identified and tracked asteroids. On February 15th, 2013, a 56-foot meteor struck down in Russia at Chelyabinsk, breaching the atmospheric shield and travelling at speeds of up to 42,900 miles per hour. The impact shattered the windows of over 4000 buildings and caused injuries to around 1500 people.
The asteroid exploded approximately 14 miles above the Earth's surface and packed a punch equal to the force of around 33 Hiroshima's, causing 1491 non-direct injuries and smashing several windows due to the generated shock waves. Peter Brown, a professor of physics at the University of Western Ontario in Canada described the meteor by saying "The asteroid was about 17 meters in diameter and weighed approximately 10,000 metric tons...it struck Earth's atmosphere at 40,000 mph and broke apart about 12 to 15 miles above Earth's surface. The energy of the resulting explosion exceeded 470 kilotons of TNT."
The Chelyabinsk Meteor was a turning point in modern times, for it was captured on video and imagery by many people who witnessed the blaze piercing through the sky, making it the most documented impact event of our time. Many of the videos that surfaced were dash camera recordings taken from automobiles as it passed in front of them, and despite the seriousness of the issue, it was generally downplayed by mainstream media. This seems to be the norm when dealing with NEO's and potential impact threats.
I remember that as the event was being reported, there was much political rhetoric tied behind it which led some people to believe that it was not an extraterrestrial object, but a missile or man-made object. The leader of the far-right Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) Vladimir Zhirinovsky claimed that the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry had been attempting to contact Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister in an attempt to warn him of a provocation that might affect Russia and claimed that “Those aren't meteorites falling. It's the Americans trying out a new weapon”.
According to some scientists, the Chelyabinsk blast was brighter than the sun on that day, and powerful enough to trigger monitoring stations in locations as far away as Antarctica. A fragment of the meteor was retrieved from the bottom of a lake in which the meteor broke through the ice. According to David Kring of the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston, who spoke at the yearly meeting of the American Geophysical Union in December 2013, after analysis of the find was completed, it was determined that some of the materials found within the meteorite were formed during the solar systems first 4 million years of existence.
On the very same day as the Chelyabinsk impact, another meteor was spotted and documented by videos in Cuba crashing down a couple of hours prior to the more known Chelyabinsk event, meaning that February 15th was a particularly busy day for incoming activity from space. Additionally on the same day, another asteroid known as 2012 DA14 soared past the Earth travelling at speeds of up to 17,200 miles per hour. This clearly indicates that at this time we were witnessing another cluster event as multiple objects entered Earth's vicinity.
According to NASA, the third mentioned object was travelling opposite the direction of the Chelyabinsk meteor and it was suggested in the monthly notices of the Royal Astronomical Society that the object at Chelyabinsk was a small fragment of the asteroid classified as 2014 UR116. Because of the noticeable increase in asteroid activity close to the Earth and the events of February 15th, 2013, a renewed sense of awareness to the risk we face by rocks from space urged governments around the world to begin programs to assess these dangers and implement methods of protection against these cosmic threats.
In February 2014, only a year after the Chelyabinsk bolide event, it was apparent that the concern within governments of a global threat had escalated significantly and they had to publicly do something about it. No more was it simply monitored, as billions of dollars were then pumped into think tanks and new programs in nearly all areas of space technology, giving us a boost into the current second space race we are witnessing. Planetary defense was a top priority, and several countries gave their space programs a long-needed upgrade.

THE THREAT OF IMPACT
Despite the fact that a majority of the biggest objects that pose a threat to us are known to astronomers and scientists and catalogued through telescopic surveys and analysis, a mere 1% of still deadly yet smaller asteroids have not been identified or catalogued. I believe this percentage is not accurate, and there exists a plethora of objects which have yet to be identified that although being smaller in size still pose a potential risk to our safety.
It is no longer thought of as science fiction but rather scientific fact. It has become quite clear that the attitude has shifted from "if another asteroid hits", but "when is the next one going to hit?”. After the Chelyabinsk incident, international space activity intensified on a scale not seen since the Apollo missions in the late 60's and early 70's.
This time, the United Nations became involved, and they began developing the planets first “Earth Embassy”, a global planetary government council resembling something out of the Star Trek or Star Wars sagas. The UN have also launched their own space missions through the United Nation's Space Mission Planning and Advisory Group. Due to the potential hazards of an NEO impact and the environmental and geopolitical consequences it could have on a global level, it has brought many countries closer together strengthening the new world order agenda.
As a way to gauge and measure the threat potential of NEO's, a system was developed known as the Torino Scale. This system of measurement works by combining the probability of collision with the potential energy and consequences of an impact. The Torino Scale ranks the danger level of catalogued asteroids on a scale of 0 to 10, with a zero-rating posing no threat at all and a rating of ten indicating an asteroid with the potential of causing a global extinction level event. These categories are also color coded, with a level 0 code white and levels 8 to 10 being code red.
Level 1 objects are coded green and comprise routine discoveries that pose no danger and are very unlikely to hit. The yellow category comprises levels 2 to 4, indicating objects which should be observed by astronomers for their potential to cause destruction on a city or regional level, but usually have a low probability of making impact. Threat levels 5 to 7 are coded orange and red and poses a serious threat of regional to global destruction with a significant chance of impact. A code red means that a collision is imminent with dire consequences ranging from the destruction of a city to an impact which could end civilization on a global scale.
One would think that the Earth would be hit by larger sized astral bodies more frequently, but we are told that by the time most of these fragments enter the Earth's atmosphere they begin to burn up, and only small pieces make it to the surface for discovery. It is claimed that a mere 3% of impacts leave a crater in which many are buried over time by sediment, making them harder to detect and undiscovered. If only 3% of impacts leave a crater, then according to the record millions of pieces of space rock must hit our planet in numerous amounts each day. If this is the case, then surely, we would notice and feel these objects connecting with us all of the time.
I believe that small pieces do connect with the Earth frequently and the larger ones that leave noticeable and lasting impact craters happen much less, only occurring as part of a cluster and only during interval periods. The frequency of these intervals is currently not yet understood or properly defined, but if it has been documented and verified by scientists, we just don't know about it yet.
It makes sense that some of this information would be classified in order to avoid public panic and unrest, and to deter independent research and reporting of these subjects. This scenario reminds me of the 1998 film Deep Impact, which stars Morgan Freeman and tells the story of a comet that is headed toward the Earth but is kept secret from the public by the American government.
As previously discussed, in our not-so-distant past, the threat of impact was generally ignored by authoritive agencies. Details were kept secret or intentionally underplayed by the scientific community and mainstream media. Until more recent years, NASA promoted a viewpoint assuring us that we have little to worry about in regard to extinction-level impact events. They claimed that because these events were separated by tens of millions of years throughout the history of the Earth, they were rare to occur and there was no reason to be concerned or panic.
On the other hand, Stephen Hawking believed that an asteroid impact is one of the biggest threats facing humanity in our future. As we have also seen, these waves of impact events seem to happen more frequently than we are told by these authorities and therefore there must be a reason for this denial and campaign of propaganda. It seems as though the issue was generally ignored until enough people became aware of the implications and threat which was staring us right in the face the whole time.
3I/ATLAS
A perfect example of the recent increase in public awareness is the arrival of 3I/Atlas, which was discovered on July 1st, 2025, by the Asteroid Terrestrial-Impact Last Alert System station, often abbreviated as ATLAS. It got its name because it was the third interstellar visitor ever detected, and it was identified by the ATLAS station. 3I/Atlas was originally designated as A11pl3Z, but it was later catalogued as C/2025 N1. The object reached its perihelion or closest approach to the sun on Devils Night, October 30th, 2025, and passed by the Earth just before the winter solstice on December 19th, 2025.
As a result of increasing public interest, 3I/Atlas was impossible to ignore and it was widely reported by the mainstream media making headlines around the world. Due to the strange and unique behaviors of the object, scientists were baffled and it seemed that as new information was released it just got weirder. This sparked a renewed interest in areas such as astronomy and geophysics and as a result we saw an increase in armchair scientists and keyboard warriors which helped create the environment of confusion, almost like a smokescreen.
Naturally, this caused many conspiracy theories to surface as well as misinformation and general confusion relating to the subject. Initially there was great debate over whether or not the object was a comet or some sort of alien entity, or perhaps it was a man-made object or decoy. Some of these theories were even surprisingly supported by leading scientists and researchers in the field as new details and observations were released to the public. Despite the division, at least people were taking a renewed interest in these topics and seems to be actually helping us get a better understanding our Earth's history.
Ignoring all of the controversy and confusion, the truth of the matter is that 3I/Atlas does display some bizarre and unique features which made it an object of curiosity and particular interest. For example, when it was discovered that it was emitting cyanide people became concerned that it might poison us as it passed by the Earth. It was also observed that 3I/Atlas not only had a tail but also showcased 6 jets within its rare sun-facing anti-tail, estimated to stretch up to 620,000 miles, around 1 million kilometers. It was observed that these jets wobbled every 7 hours and 45 minutes as it approached the sun.
Another aspect which separates 3I/Atlas from the rest is its velocity. This interstellar object is the fastest object we have currently observed, travelling at speeds up to 68 kilometers per second. At first it emanated a red glow, and then it changed to green and then gold which was also a characteristic that made it unique from other observed objects. The appearance of 3I/Atlas has changed the way we view space and our understanding of the vast universe.
Interstellar objects or ISO's are celestial bodies that enter into our solar system from a star system somewhere outside of it. ISO's can be asteroids, comets, or even rogue planets and allow us to have a rare glimpse into materials from star systems outside of our own. At this time there have only been three confirmed interstellar objects that we know about and 3I/Atlas is the most recent of these cosmic visitors. Could these objects be the result of some interstellar cataclysm which occurred and are only beginning to understand?
The first confirmed and documented ISO was discovered in 2017, and was designated as 1I/Oumuamua. It was a highly elongated object and had no tail which perplexed scientists upon its initial observation and discovery. The second ISO was catalogued as 2I/Borisov and was discovered in 2019. It had common comet characteristics such as having an icy tail, often referred to as icy wanderers. In July 2025, 3I/Atlas entered the picture and the arrival of these first ISO's entering our solar system in less than a decade can be no coincidence.
This sudden influx means that there is something going on here which we should be paying very close attention to. Geophysicist Stefan Burns has made several connections relating to the anomalies surrounding the arrival of 3I/Atlas, not only in regard to the object itself but also the apparent connection it had to anomalies and increased activities of the sun and Earth which took place during the exact time of the arrival of 3I/Atlas.
A plethora of anomalies occurred during this period which led Burns to make connections and observations that could not be ignored. In my opinion, the cosmic synchronicities he observed will help shape our understanding of what we know about not only our own solar system but also of the deep geological history of our Earth. We are living in an important era of discovery, as new revelations continue to change the way we view some of the most important subjects and areas of research.
Many aspects of Burns' observations and research provide supporting evidence to some of my own theories that are outlined in this book, and I suspect that these revelations will be expanded upon and eventually confirmed in the not-so-distant future. An entire book could be written on these connections alone, and I'm sure that at some point it will be, but I will briefly mention just a few of the many connections here.
During the summer of 2025, when 3I/Atlas was first discovered, we began to see an increase in geopolitical tensions all around the world. Similar to the Great Comet of 1811 and the genocidal War of 1812, at the time 3I/Atlas entered into our minds we saw an escalation in global conflict in nearly all corners of the Earth. Some of these included the genocide of Palestinians carried out by Israel resulting in the attacks against Israel by Iran and the bombing of nuclear facilities by the United States.
A chain reaction began as the war between Ukraine and Russia escalated which resulted in a global response from organizations like the United Nations and NATO. China held the largest military parade in history, displaying new technologies and weapons of mass destruction while war crimes were being committed and exposed, but were generally ignored and allowed to continue, seeming to follow some sort of diabolical political agenda. In fact, it would seem like World War 3 has already started, it's just not being called that officially at this time.
Curiously, propaganda relating to UFO disclosure was being reported by the mainstream media for the first time in history, and government corruption was being exposed at an all time high in where we saw blatant criminal acts being committed by governments without being punished and the shut down of the United States government. Conspiracy theories once disregarded were being proven and all-in-all it seemed like the world stage was going through a crisis situation. Human consciousness and the increase of global activities and change seem to run parallel with the increase of these celestial events.
Not only did we see the escalation in global tension, but we also saw an increase in natural disasters, earthquake activity and extreme weather coinciding with the arrival of 3I/Atlas. At this exact time, strange solar activity took place which seems to have triggered some of these large earthquakes. Essentially, we were witnessing solar activities aligning with these Earth reactions to a point in where patterns started to emerge that could be calculated, allowing us to predict and better understand what to expect in the future.
The sun was certainly behaving in ways we have not currently witnessed, and much of this activity seemed to relate to 3I/Atlas as well as its alignment with the objects in our solar system. It was observed that sunspots were particularly active during the alignment of 3I/Atlas with the Earth and the sun, and solar outbursts were also noted during certain planetary alignments.
The significance of these events is of utmost importance and will surely lead to new discoveries and a well needed update to the scientific and historical record. Perhaps the arrival of 3I/Atlas was a blessing in disguise, for it certainly brought our attention to the cosmos in a way that no other object or event could.
As we continue to learn and cosmically evolve it has become more clear that we are witnessing and living through one of the most important eras in relation to the connection of extraterrestrial objects and the history of our planet. In the past, the threat of asteroid impacts and NEO's was generally ignored or disregarded, however it seems that this is no longer the case and we are finally beginning to understand the importance of this issue.
APOPHIS & 2024 YR4
The first asteroid to reach the status of level 4 on the Torino Scale is 2004 MN4 or Asteroid 99942. This asteroid is more commonly referred to as Apophis and is named after the Egyptian serpent god of darkness and destruction. It was first observed by two U.S. astronomers on June 19th, 2004, at the Kitt Peak National Observatory in Tucson Arizona. The Kitt Observatory has one of the largest arrays of telescopes in the world.
Apophis is considered to be a city killer, with the potential of devastating a large geographical area on impact. It weighs approximately 67 million tons and is comprised of rock and metal with an odd lengthy shape of around 1480 feet long. Essentially, it has the shape of a large skyscraper building which causes it to tumble on its trajectory. This characteristic adds variables making it difficult to determine its absolute path and what to expect as it travels, however much research and observation is being done in regard to Apophis.
The reason why this object is being monitored so closely is because it is expected to reach within 20,000 miles of our Earth on Friday the 13th of April in 2029. Although NASA says we have little to worry about and it's safe, according to scientists the god of destruction and darkness has a 1 in 37 chance of colliding with our Earth. As the object is continually observed and studied, these statistics can and have fluctuated and the notable variables involved make it particularly concerning.
Some have theorized that if Apophis does hit the Earth that ground zero would be somewhere in California, however many factors exist that could change its course or behavior making an impact zone hard to absolutely determine. This is what makes this object so potentially dangerous, as a simple connection with another object or push from solar wind could change its trajectory path and increase the chances of impact to 100%.
If Apophis passes through the 1200-foot region of space known as the gravitational keyhole, this too could alter its path and increase the hazard level as well as the location of ground zero. Just as with any object within our solar system, there is always the possibility that some cosmic event could take place causing a chain reaction with unknown and potentially dangerous effects. The tumbling motion of Apophis adds to the unpredictability and the truth is that anything could happen.
Following the 3I/Atlas trend, Apophis became a more present topic in the media even though it had been known about for over 20 years, much longer than the awareness of 3I/Atlas and was an equally controversial subject. There has been great debate over whether or not we have a reason to be concerned about 99942, or if it's harmless and will simply pass by the Earth leaving us unscathed. One thing has become apparent and that is the fact that there has been a noticeable increase in our observations and concern relating to the presence of NEO's.
Perhaps as a result of increased public awareness or the possibility we are currently witnessing a swarm or cluster period within our lifetime, more and more NEO's seem to be announced and discussed by the mainstream industries and global community. According to NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA), the recently discovered asteroid 2024 YR4 has a 2.8 to 3.1% chance of hitting the Earth in 2032. Also, if you recall, there is expectations of heightened impact threats from elements of the Taurid stream during this exact time period as well.
According to astronomers, there are currently no known asteroids on a 100% direct collision course with the Earth, however about 60% have yet to be discovered even though new objects are identified on a near-daily basis. With more and more objects identified and catalogued, it does not mean that we have made it out of harms way just because we are aware of them. Knowing is but half the battle, and the other half is how we are going to deal with such risks.
PLANETARY DEFENSE
As astronomers witnessed in real-time the planet Jupiter being struck by fragments of the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9, it became obvious that if a similar event were to take place on the Earth we were severely underprepared and outdated in our defense measures. This saw a second wave of policy interests to defend against potential asteroid threats as well as the advancements and formation of new space programs and observatories in nearly all corners of the Earth.
Prior to this however, at the exact same time as the Star Wars franchise was introduced to the world, taking place behind the scenes was the actual birth of the second space race which included the research and development of space weapons and planetary defense systems. It was also around this time that an increased geopolitical interest in industrializing space with mining operations and research programs began to reach our ears more frequently.
One of the political efforts of the NEO World Order that was introduced to govern our actions in space is known as the “Moon Agreement”, which was a treaty brought forth in 1979 as the “Agreement Governing the Activities of States on the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies”. The Moon Agreement was not ratified by the all of the space powers at the time, however it was said to reflect “the position of many non-spacefaring nations in regard to the utilization of natural resource found in space”. It was also around this time that the discoveries of asteroid impacts and their mineral deposits were being discovered on Earth.
In 1980, the same year the Cretaceous–Tertiary extinction was proposed to have been caused by a meteorite by Alvarez and his team, the University of Arizona started the Spacewatch Program which began to catalogue asteroids to identify and archive statistics of orbiting rocks discovered in our solar system. According to Tom Gehrels, founder of the Spacewatch program and editor of the book Hazards Due to Comets and Asteroids, the possibility of a collision with Earth is "a horrible problem. Do I lie awake at night?” Not surprisingly, his answer to this question was “Yes."
In Gehrel's book, he puts forth many ideas to defend ourselves against such a threat from space. Some of these methods included the interception and altering of the object's orbital paths, using pre-existent technologies like missiles and rocket boosters, and capturing objects through a rendezvous applied with soft-landing techniques. He also offered other solutions such as nuclear explosives, use of robotic technology, solar sails, an array of propulsion systems, and kinetic-energy impacts.
Despite these precautions however, another concern remains not only with the objects that have an orbit that may eventually align and connect, but also the objects that have been set off course by earlier collisions or phenomenon that we are unsure of. Space is a strange place, and things are not always predictable. The natural order of things is balanced however there is unbalance within the force as well. As with many of these cosmic anomalies, they tend to increase during the same time as geopolitical events and extreme weather events are occurring on the Earth.
In association with the Spaceguard Foundation and the Minor Planet Center, the International Asteroid Warning Network was authorized by the United Nations General Assembly in October of 2013. This network was created in order to share information regarding asteroids that pose a particular threat and also to enhance and further develop our defense capabilities.
An international forum known as the Space Mission Planning and Advisory Group (SMPAG) was also established to discuss elements of the documentation and study of asteroids, including the development of asteroid deflection missions and other related programs. The first round of policy discussions held by SMPAG took place in February of 2014.
In 2018, a document was published by the White House entitled the “National Near-Earth Object Preparedness Strategy and Action Plan”. The document was created in an attempt to “improve our nation's preparedness to address the hazard of near-Earth object (NEO) impacts by enhancing the integration of existing national and international assets and adding important capabilities that are currently lacking”.
This NEO strategy outlined the top 7 goals as follows: 1) Enhance NEO detection, tracking and characterization capabilities. 2) Develop methods for NEO deflection and disruption. 3) Improve modelling, predictions and information integration. 4) Develop emergency procedures for NEO impact scenarios. 5) Establish NEO impact response and recovery procedures. 6) Leverage and support international cooperation. 7) Establish coordination and communications protocols and thresholds for taking action.
It was around this time that NASA warned the world that we were not sufficiently prepared for an asteroid strike. Speaking at an annual meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU), Dr Joseph Nuth from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Centre verified this blatantly by saying, “The biggest problem, basically, is there's not a hell of a lot we can do about it at the moment.” The NASA doctor also went on to say that, “They are the extinction-level events, things like dinosaur killers, they're 50 to 60 million years apart, essentially. 'You could say, of course, we're due, but it's a random course at that point”.
In response to the growing global fear and concern regarding the potential of an asteroid impact that could end civilization as we know it, NASA and the ESU began developing spacecraft and missions in order to redirect asteroids and create orbiting bases for astronauts. One of these spacecrafts is known as DART, or the Double Asteroid Redirection Test. DART was built in an attempt to redirect the path of “non-threatening” asteroids, but according to a defense officer at NASA it also includes the threatening ones.
Lindley Johnson, a planetary defense officer from Washington's NASA Headquarters commented on the mission by saying, “DART would be NASA’s first mission to demonstrate what’s known as the kinetic impactor technique – striking the asteroid to shift its orbit – to defend against a potential future asteroid impact”. A concern that comes to mind in regard to this is that by shifting the paths of these NEO's, it could increase the chances of a collision with another object having an opposite effect. Perhaps the recent increase in threats from these objects is a result of the DART missions.
Over the course of the last 50 years, countless initiatives have been established to detect and defend us against NEO's. Some of these include the New Planetary Defense Strategy, Planetary Defense 2025, Space Generation Advisory Council, and many more entities which symbolize our silent entrance into the next generation of a Star Wars world. The Earth is looking more and more like a galactic empire, complete with advance space technologies and governing bodies with military protection.
MOONSHIELD
While we continue to build up our own defenses using new technologies that are developed, we know that the Earth also has its own natural defense mechanisms that play a huge role in protecting our planet from NEO's and impact events. These presence and purpose of these elements are so important to our Earth that it seems as though they exist as the result of intelligent design. These systems are too perfect to simply be the result of natural processes, an idea that is expanded upon in various chapters of this book.
The “Iron Dome” system was built as a way to protect a country from incoming attacks from outside sources and was very likely developed using the same principals and concepts as our Earth's own planetary defense system. There are many layers and systems which surround our planet that protect us from incoming objects, causing some of them to burn up in the atmosphere before they make contact with the Earth. The magnetic and gravity forces of our Earth and Moon also play a role in changing the behavior of celestial objects within our solar system. We have developed similar systems of defense including enhanced forcefields, missiles, and the use of sonic, kinetic and laser technology.
According to the laws of physics, the pull of Earth's gravity should in turn result in even more incoming objects from space, but it is believed that our Moon, with gravity just one sixth that of the Earths which is said to take the brunt of the hits. The Moon is perhaps the most unique object in our solar system, for it does not share the same qualities of other celestial objects and as a result has gained a lot of attention and controversy over the years.
To put it bluntly, I believe that the Moon is a man-made object that was created in our distant past for many reasons, one of them being to protect our planet from impacts and to mine the materials of these captured astral bodies. Similar to the Death Star in Star Wars, it is a hollow metallic object which does not rotate during its orbit and acts as a protector and watcher in the sky, which also plays an important role in many of the Earth's processes and cycles. It's almost as if it was put there on purpose and there is much evidence to support this theory which will be discussed in further detail in later chapters.
The surface of the Moon is littered with craters which indicates a tremendously violent past. If one looks at the surface of the Moon even with the naked eye, it seems apparent that our region of the solar system gets space traffic all of the time, and the Moon and our Earth have the scars to prove it. A majority of the vast number of asteroids that hit the Moon are undetectable from the Earth, however on September 11th, 2013, the largest explosion on the lunar surface was witnessed from the Earth and captured on video by the telescopes of MIDAS, the Moon Impacts Detection and Analysis System in Spain.
According to a NASA spokesperson and writer for the publication Science, “For the past eight years NASA has been monitoring the Moon for signs of explosions caused by meteors. They’ve just seen the biggest explosion in the history of the programme...It exploded in a flash 10 times as bright as anything we’ve seen before. Anyone looking at the Moon at the moment of impact could have seen the explosion – no telescope required.”
The asteroid was just a meter across and weighed no more than 88 pounds, or 40 kilograms. Yet because it was travelling at interplanetary speeds of up to 56,000 miles per hour, it caused a large explosion which emitted a bright flash of the 4th magnitude, about the brightness of the star Polaris. The small meteor slammed down on the surface near a darkened area of the moon known as Mare Nubium.
Prior to the September 11th impact, another one was documented just a couple of months earlier in March of 2013. It had a mass of around half a ton, or 450 kilograms and a weak meteor shower known as the Epsilon Perseids occurred on September 9th, just two days before the September 11th impact. This seems to indicate a cluster event which took place, as many other cosmic events were described during this time.
Another asteroid which was also of concern is known as 2012 TC4, which was observed closely as it skimmed past the Earth in one of our nearest misses currently known. 2012 TC4 is about the size of a small house, 13 meters wide. It was thought 2012 TC4 may have ended up colliding into the Moon, an event which never ended up happening.
If the asteroid was to hit the Earth, it would have caused enough damage to create a crater 65 feet across and 20 meters deep. The kill zone would have been equivalent to ten Tomahawk cruise missiles hitting the exact same area at the same time. Thousands of people would have perished in the event if our atmosphere did not cause it to burn up or break apart before touching down.
The Moonshield that orbits our planet holds many keys and clues to our overall understanding of our history and connection with the universe. We know that as far back as before 1979, programs were being developed to begin mining operations on the Moon and other celestial objects. Images have surfaced providing evidence of these operations as tire marks leading to craters and what appear to be buildings have been observed on the Moon's surface.
Valuable rare Earth minerals are contained within many meteors and asteroids and it makes sense that they would be extracted from the Moon, yet this is denied even to this day despite the confronting evidence that continually surfaces. We have reached a critical point in regard to discovery and the truth about these matters is becoming harder to hide as our awareness and curiosity continues to escalate.
REFLECTIONS
If we did arrive on this planet from somewhere else in the universe, then an important question we must ask ourselves is when did we first arrive here to colonize the planet? The answer may lie in the geological history of the planet and its association with cosmic events. Communications left behind for us by our ancestors also holds the key to some of the answers to these questions.
We know that many ancient cultures described cataclysmic events which at first were thought to be fairytales until the evidence for these events was eventually discovered and confirmed. As our ability to accurately date the chronology of our Earth and past civilizations advances, we continue to see that we have been misled and hidden from the truth in many instances. We must ask ourselves why the coverup, and why these details were so actively opposed when all the evidence seems to point in that direction?
While NASA reports that we have little to worry about, bunkers built in mountains to protect from a future catastrophe have been built for the elite, and an escalation in space launches indicates that we are now more than ever concerned as to what is going on in space, or perhaps the recent increase in space launches means that they are preparing to leave the planet in case of emergency, following in the same footsteps of our ancestors in the past.
All this is happening at the same time as global conflict erupts in the form of wars and political corruption, as the appearance of NEO's and ISO's increase the threat of impact as plagues like Covid-19 and natural disasters erupt across the world. It only makes sense that if they knew in advance about a future calamity, they would prepare to exit the Earth and protect themselves in order to ensure the continuance of our species.
As we learn more and more about the truth of our past, it seems evident that there is much more to this than meets the eye. What was once thought impossible now seems possible, and the attempts to keep us in the dark under a system of mind control and planetary confinement seems to be failing them. The limitation of misleading science is slowly being taken apart, as we enter into a new era of human evolution and understanding.
We are becoming more aware of our potential as well as the hidden truths about our history, and as we continue to ask important questions, we are getting closer to the most important revelations in our journey of self-discovery. This is perhaps the biggest fight the human race has ever faced, and as we continue to unveil the truth it appears that we are winning the battle.
