VELCROW ULCER RECORDS

Long before the counterculture phenomenon, while the woke were still asleep, Velcrow Ulcer Records was spewing forth albums of political incorrectness and dark offensive humor. Offering artists a home for freedom of speech and expression through musical form, Velcrow Ulcer Records was perhaps the first label of its kind to do so, considered by many to be some of the most hilariously offensive music on the planet.

Velcrow Ulcer Records has been the home of Tardcore since the release of the first Yetiface demo, "Blargh" in 2002. During the Myspace era, Velcrow Ulcer Records expanded the roster and independently released albums of pure musical insanity from bands like 85 Pound Poutine, The Crabmen, and showcased artists like Dying Cletus, Anal Noise and Teddy Ulcer via Yetiface split albums.

According to folklore, the history of the label began when Yetiface, aka Jelly Bleegins, was signed to the label by Joe "Circus" Klown, a member of the Sandcrab Monopoly in the legendary town of Bleeginsville, Alabama Canada. In an attempt to sell out and become a mainstream pop label, Klown refused to release the newest Yetiface album unless Jelly changed nearly everything about it, from the musical and lyrical content to the album art and even the artist's name itself.

After an argument pursued between the two of them, Joe began plotting to have Jelly killed during an upcoming tour by hiring mutant hitmen to act as stagehands and sabotage the event. In an act of heroic solidarity however, Joe's own son Teddy informed Jelly of the assassination plot and as a result, the henchmen were sent after Teddy instead to seek revenge. Thankfully the plan backfired however, and Joe was mysteriously killed soon afterwards, many believing by the hand of his own child Teddy. With Joe Klown out of the picture, Jelly Bleegins took ownership of the label, and the artistic freedom of musical expression was saved forever.
